She speaks about the corrs..... - ------------------------------------------------------------ - ----- Also, like DAL, I think we should do another 'decloacking' so new members of the list know each other. But let's wait, 'till the list messages calm down, 'cause there's too much traffic at the moment, to do 'decloackings now'. - ------------------------------------------------------------ - ----- About the success from Cher using 'new technologies'. If you like that kinda pop, that's ok. I don't like her music at all, but this is simple my own opinion. But I think, that the ones who used that 'voice trick' before, are the boys from "DAFT PUNK" in the song "AROUND the WORLD". Of course, their success is not like the 'believe' Hit, but they used that trick in a more tastefull way than Cher. So talking about CopyCat, I haven't listen the entire track (just the RealAudio clip),but it doesn't sound crapy. I think they could use CopyCat as second single from album 'Bury the Hatchet', and make a good charts position, judging the state of music nowadays. But of course there are lot's of good tracks in the album. For those who like the first two albums (produced with Stephen Street) there is always the possibility to listen albums from The Smiths and Morrisey. I think as time goes, it's normal that the sound of the band change, but that albums are still here to listen when we want it to. Also, what do you think, about the new musicians on stage with the cranberries? - ------------------------------------------------------------ - --------- Ok bye people!, WALKO (http://www.angelfire.com/ar/argenberries/) ps: Welcome to the new people on the list ;o) (I'm also not such an old member of the list) ps1: Seems like Limited Editions are running out of stock and prices for this editions are increasing. Retro Nights, Alternative nights Queer nights.. and even for a Miss Canada Intercontiental.. which is like big drag pageant.... The place is very intimate... and seriously you can be in the back of the theatre and you still should have an amazing view.... It should be a general admission show.... so most people should be fine... trying to get tickets.. but they will sell fast... Cranberries tickets always sells fast in Toronto Dal if you can convince your mom.. great.. there are alot of cool cds store in Toronto to buy music and stuff.. and there is alot of stuff to do in town.... the weather should be pretty nice... it should be a nice weekend get away... If you found an original Watercircle, it won't be cheap unless the guy's an idiot. Put it in this perspective.. I recently saw someone selling an original "Nothing Left At All" '90 demo for $1000. I'd bet WC would be more than that. Uncertain might be a bit easier to find and a bit lighter on the wallet, but still hard to find. the CD usually goes for $125-200 and the LP for usually $80-100. And if you're a loaded $$ cranfan, you can always consider buying the couch, which sold to some lucky moneybag for $30,000 (!) -Alex - ----Original Message Follows---- From: Dal To: cranlist@smoe.org Subject: %Cran: some cd convention Date: Mon, 19 Apr 1999 22:51:37 -0400 Hi! I just found out that this Sunday, there wil be an album and cd convention (at the chateau laurier in Ottawa) there is supposed to be alot of rare stuff, autographs, posters, etc. Has anyone here gone to one? What should I expect? I'm really hoping that they will have The Cranberries Uncertain cd or Watercircle tape. (what's the range for those?) (is it likely I may find any of those?) so yeah if anyone could give me tips on whether to tell if it's a ripoff or not, amount of money I should bring, what I should expect, whatever- that'd really help. I'll definately look for Cranberries stuff and if I find stuff, i'll try to buy stuff and even sell it to you guys(for the exact same $ I bought it for). Talk2yalater, Dal p.s.- goyette, since you live in the same city, you can email me privately for details if you're interested. anyone else, feel free to email me as well - --------------------------------------------------------------- This is the Ridiculous Thoughts Mailing List Send posts to : cranlist@smoe.org Send unsubscribe requests to: cranlist-request@smoe.org Put "unsubscribe" in the BODY of the message.
