Well I have been to 5 Cranberries Concerts.... 3 of which i had seats (detroit, both shows FTD tour, Montreal FTD tour) and twice where I didn't have seats (Toronto No Need To Argue Tour, and Toronto FTD Tour) in both cases where I didn't have seats, I was there early enough that I was right up front for both shows.. regardless... YES there was heavy MOSHING in both cases... it's kinda crazy at times especially when people are moshing to songs that are not that hard... For this tour.. I have 3rd row PIT seat for the PHilly show.... which should be nice.. to have a SEAT and be so close... and I will be going to the Toronto Show as well (which is general admission.... but i have been to that club... on alternative nights.. and I have had my fair share of moshing there... hopefully i shouldn't have a problem getting tickets... next thursday..... still thinking about going to the Las Vegas show.. which is also General admission.... we shall see D.andy "Move Over... Again, this album seems quite shallow. >Still, I guess it's better and prettier, more interesting >than TTFD. Finally someone else who thinks that these songs are bad..... I totally have to agree with your statements.... the first 2 albums and the earlier stuff.. aka uncertain and the few other songs that I have. All are very sentimental for me.... The songs are very moving, both musically and lyrically. During this stage in the berries career, they totally knew what they were doing... And I can easily listen to any of these songs without having an urge to skip over any songs. With the dawn of TTFD. (and a new producer, Bruce Fairbain) their song got alot harsher, the lyrics got impersonal to an extent. hMM i dunno if i worded that correctly... maybe the lyrics got TOO personal.... to the extent that no one else could relate.... anyways... the cranberries moved to a new phase in their careers... gaining a lot of new fans (mostly younger fans who are into the heavier music) I liked the 3rd album.... but but far it was not my favorite and was the most common cranberries cd that i would come across in used cd stores Now having Bury The hatchet for a week now, I think I can be a lot more objective in how I critique the album. The album lacks consistency.... some songs are great, and some just don't cut it. In many ways, they have tried to recapture the essense of what was the first 2 albums, yet keeping a harshness that is totally TTFD. I am not sure if in doing so, if they are trying to broaden their audience base? by trying a variety of things.... >|| do you think they have gone too far? >This question doesn't make sense in my opinion. >I regret they've gone somewhere at all. hmmmmm I am glad that they are back, I am not quite sure if I enjoy the direction that they have moved towards >|| Are they still your favorite band (or one of them at least)? >That is a GOOD question. I have no idea. Let's wait until >the album comes out. grin.... well I don't think I am as hard core as I used to be.... but then again.. i have started collecting bury the hatchet stuff already.. thinking back a few years, the cranberries were a HUGE part of my life.... now they are there, but not necessarily on the top of my priority list. Musically, my taste have grown quite significantly, but anyways i won't get into that right now.... It's a good album... but by far not their best work.... D.andy "Move Over...
