Nice idea, but you do not really see "anything" on that cover, do you? ;-) But who knows how the inside of the booklet looks like. One recent review of 'Promises' in a popular music magazine spent more time talking about the fact that the cover sleeve had a pic of a teddy bear on fire than it did talking about the song which, obviously, it didn't rate at all....it announced that Dolores screamed at the top of her voice while the rest of the band made a hell of a noise in the background. Yes there is a digest version of the list. Not many people use it (I think other than myself there is one real subscriber and another individual who I out on the list to resolve an issue). I noticed before that the instructions at the bottom of each email from the list are wrong. I will be fixing this soon. Also been meaning to add digest subscription capability to the website. I'll etl you all know when this is done. If you want to subscribe to the digest version of the list, there are two ways to do it. The first would be to send a message to cranlist-digest-request@smoe.org with the word "subscribe" in the body of the message. The second (which does the exact same thing) would be to send an email to majordomo@smoe.org with the phrase "subscribe cranlist-digest." Note that in either case you must unsub from the loose version if you don't want it anymore. Best suggestion when switching from loose to digest form, your email should look like the following: To: majordomo@smoe.org From: Subject: - --------text--------- unsubscribe cranlist subscribe cranlist-digest end This will unsub you from the main list and put you on the digest form. To go back, simply reverse it. If anyone needs help, please feel free to send me an email. >I think that is why some time ago the "%Cran" was put in the subject line, >so you could filter those mails to a special folder - if your mailer does >such a job. The %Cran is on the subject line for exactly that reason - it allows people to easily filter the messages. Also, if you cannot filter your mail, it is easy to pick out the Cranberries posts from all the rest of your mail. I used to see this type of thing on a lot more lists, but these days not a lot of people mess with it. I'm keeping it here because I think it's beneficial. Hope this helps everyone. Hi Peter.... This is the most amazing song on the album. The guitar parts are very reminiscent of the first album... very sweet sounding and such... at first listen you would expect that it is a sweet song as well. The lyrics on the other had are filled with anger... and have this great BITE to them... It is kinda neat how the lyrics and the music contrast each other. I know there is an audio clip of the song on the www.cranberries.ie site... and i do have the song in it's entirity on cd.. however I do not have the time to make an MP3 of it nor do I have the space to store the Mp3 on the net to allow people to download it.. so unfortunately I can not help... Maybe Danny that runs the crantraders site... may want to make an mp3.. i would presume he has the album.... anyways sorry i can't help D.andy "Move Over... There's a climax coming my way..." I've heard in several interviews with Dolores that when she's troubled about something (like when she's having difficulty writing music), she puts on a kettle of tea and collects her thoughts while she drinks her tea. This shows that she did not just add "my cup of tea" to force a rhyme. In fact, it could have been an accidental rhyme that happened to work out. Second, I'm kind of mad at myself for downloading so many mp3's of the new album. I feel like i'm just spoiling it for myself. I love all the songs I've downloaded (especially Copycat[great theme and music], loud and clear, and the live version of animal instint, well i love them all as i said), but I remember the joy I felt when I first listened to TTFD, knowing nothing about it except I'd heard the live version of IJSJL ONCE on the David Letterman show, and I'd heard about 30 seconds of Salvation. It felt so fresh and new and i had no idea what was coming next. So I've decided not only to download no more material before the album comes out, but I am totally abstaining from listening to The Cranberries until I get the album. (YES i know i'm crasy). But I feel that if i do this, by the time I get the album, I'll be so desperate to listen to ANYTHING by them nevermind that it's new; I'll freak out and enjoy the album that much more. I'm sure none of you care, but I just wanted to suggest that we quit spoiling the album before we get it.
