That's not constructive.... and I don't know why they don't > like the album...as for now I've heard like 5 songs from the album, and > I think they sounds great! It's musically better that TTFD.... Yes the > lyrics are weak in some songs, but not in all! And the songs sounds all > different.... WILL EVERYONE PLEASE QUIT SAYING THAT THE LYRICS ARE BAD! It's really aggravating me. There's nothing wrong with Dolores's lyrics; they're just more personal and blunt than most people are comfortable with. But that makes her a pioneer, not a bad songwriter. Someone also mentioned that they don't like the new songs because they can't relate to them. SO WHAT? Do you think that Dolores sits down to write a song and thinks "hmm let me make this so it applies and relates to everyone." If she did that it would take away all the intimacy and emotion of her songs. If you listen to the new songs carefully, you'll find that this is probably going to be The Cranberries' most open, introspective, and therefore vulnerable album. Plus even if the lyrics were bad (WERE not ARE), who gives a crap about Cranberries' LYRICS? Dolores' voice is so incredible and on the songs I've heard so far, she's driven it to new levels, tones, and ranges. I think this album will be her strongest vocal work yet. The music itself will reveal a side of the Cranberries that we've never seen before. I'm shaking with excitement about the new album, and you people are wasting your time reading reviews by ignorant people who should have never passed journalism and talking about Dolores's rhyming skills. Get a grip.
