I just remembered that I hadn't posted this yet) The Cranberries "Promises" (Island) Could you imagine lead singer Dolores O'Riordan and Alanis Morissette doing a duettogether? Apart from the fact that it would deafen every canine within one mile of a decent stereo, it could become an anthem out there for all people out there [their repetition, not mine] who's voice constantly gets confused with an air-raid siren. Fran Drescher could be called in to do a rap in the middle, and we would have to ensure that the up most top four octaves are covered in graphic volume. In all honesty, "Promises" doesn't grab on ititial listens, but it has the sneaking suspicion of being a grower. The cover iis really cool though - terminator teddy is something that could terrify most small children, and for that we should be thankful. - -- Schmidty schmidty777@geocities.com "There is nobody so irritating as somebody with less intelligence and more sense than we have." - -Don Herold - --------------------------------------------------------------- This is the Ridiculous Thoughts Mailing List Send posts to : cranlist@smoe.org Send unsubscribe requests to: cranlist-request@smoe.org Put "unsubscribe" in the BODY of the message. I think it's neat, because she can still put so much emotion into her singing. I stoped by Chapters to see if they had Melody Maker and Q magazine and it seems that the Q magazine has changed. The lady looked in boxes in the storage boxes in the shop but didn't find the one with The Cranberries in it. However, see did find the Melody Maker. I must of read the article 14 times! I love the picture this they did when theyr show all the different looks that dolores has had. My favorite is the last one (its the pic of Dolores at the MTV music awards in 1996). She looks so cool. The article is kinda sad when they talk about the TTFD era and how Dolores and the band had these big problems. The only part I don,t get is why Dolores would get her own tour bus? Was Noel, Mike or feargal getting or her nerves? Was it just a thing that Dolores wanted to do to look more rich (wich would really surprise me). Anyways, I recomend the Melody Maker to all and I think its really great. Other cran-shooping I did today was at Record Runner were I got my Salvation limited edeition collectors box (fiew, only 2 and a half years to late :-) ). Now I have 2 copies of the Salvation single (the normale UK one and the boxed one). I think I'm a cran-freak. Other thing I bought today was a Doc Marten T-Shirt that is really cool. I bought it at Rock Junction. I almost bought myself a pair of 7 hole blue Docs but I realized that I don't have 149,99$ left in my acccount since I'm 14 and currently unemployed (like all the other 14 year old). Maby someone would want to trade some size 8, 7-hole blue, red or black Doc Martens for my extra Salvation single (LOL). Oh, I also saw someone getting a tatoo and now I want a tatoo on my shoulder with the original Cranberries logo. Anyone know how to not let your parents know about a tatoo you have when your 14? I'll see you later, Yet an other cran-freak lost between www.cranberries.com and www.cranberries.ie . _________________________________________________ Jean-François Goyette (Fluo) dbgoyet@videotron.ca or fluo89@usa.net ICQ 10289063 Web page: http://pages.infinit.net/fluo1 (under huge renovations) "You'd better beleive I'm coming, you'd better beleive what I say" Dolores O'Riordan of The Cranberries _________________________________________________ - --------------------------------------------------------------- This is the Ridiculous Thoughts Mailing List Send posts to : cranlist@smoe.org Send unsubscribe requests to: cranlist-request@smoe.org Put "unsubscribe" in the BODY of the message.
