If you have Winzip or a similar program installed, it should automatically extract the file to a temp dir and WinAMP should play it for you without a problem. The better idea though, is to just extract the files from the archives to a directory somewhere on your drive. Compressing MP3 files saves very little space, so you might as well just extract them and delete the original zip files. - -Brett - --------------------------------------------------------------- This is the Ridiculous Thoughts Mailing List Send posts to : cranlist@smoe.org Send unsubscribe requests to: cranlist-request@smoe.org Put "unsubscribe" in the BODY of the message. In case you didn't know, "In the Ghetto" is and Elvis song. They might have only done that song live once, and there might not be an album version.. Same with when they sang "Crazy" a few times live on the TTFD tour. -Alex - ----Original Message Follows---- From: Brett To: cranlist@smoe.org Subject: Re: %Cran: Upcoming singles? I would think that's probably the case. I don't buy many CD's, but when I bought Stabbing Westward's Darkest Days last April, it said on the wrapper that it includes Save Yourself, Sometimes it Hurts, and Haunting Me. And of course, all 3 of those advertised tracks were released as singles. Record companies obviously do it for the average fan that hears the songs on the radio, and will glance at the CD in the store and notice that their favourite radio song is on that CD. In most cases, the casual fan will probably end up buying the CD because it's listed clearly on the front of the CD or on a promo poster. It's probably especially useful for sales at department stores where singles typically aren't sold. BTW, I've been listening to some of the new MP3 tracks, and they aren't bad. In the Ghetto is bad though, I do not like it. Maybe it's because it's live, hopefully the album version is better. Loud and Clear sounds pretty cool, and Copycat is kinda neat as well. - -Brett - --------------------------------------------------------------- This is the Ridiculous Thoughts Mailing List Send posts to : cranlist@smoe.org Send unsubscribe requests to: cranlist-request@smoe.org Put "unsubscribe" in the BODY of the message.
