I don't play any musical instrument, so I just have a stupid question.... Are any of their guitar parts hard to play? It seems like I'm always hearing how easy they all are. I mean, it all sounds good to me, so I don't care either way, but I only ever hear people say that The Cranberries songs are easy. Just curious. I'm not a very skilled bass player and I use the MIDI system that helps me get the right rhytmus for the songs. The bass lines from the berries are usualy not complicated to learn (as for example the bass lines from Black Sabbath are for me a little complicated) but I think that it's not important that a song is complicated to play or not, it's only important if you like the song.Sometimes a very technicaly complicated song can be very boring and on the other hand a more simple song , can be such a great tune! Well, that's my opinion, WALKO. ps: support the band by buying their singles instead of Mp3's. Mp3's are great, but for cransongs that are no longer available in other formats. Probably.... though I have seen EEIDI... advertised with Linger, Dreams and I Still Do... but that was during NNTA times, so not really as an intro thing. BTW, I listened to that live version of Animal Instinct, and I love the song! (was that acoustic? I thought the lead guitar sounded sort of electric, but I'm not sure. Or is the rhythm guitar part always acoustic?) - -- Schmidty schmidty777@geocities.com "There is nobody so irritating as somebody with less intelligence and more sense than we have." - -Don Herold - --------------------------------------------------------------- This is the Ridiculous Thoughts Mailing List Send posts to : cranlist@smoe.org Send unsubscribe requests to: cranlist-request@smoe.org Put "unsubscribe" in the BODY of the message. I would think that's probably the case. I don't buy many CD's, but when I bought Stabbing Westward's Darkest Days last April, it said on the wrapper that it includes Save Yourself, Sometimes it Hurts, and Haunting Me. And of course, all 3 of those advertised tracks were released as singles. Record companies obviously do it for the average fan that hears the songs on the radio, and will glance at the CD in the store and notice that their favourite radio song is on that CD. In most cases, the casual fan will probably end up buying the CD because it's listed clearly on the front of the CD or on a promo poster. It's probably especially useful for sales at department stores where singles typically aren't sold. BTW, I've been listening to some of the new MP3 tracks, and they aren't bad. In the Ghetto is bad though, I do not like it. Maybe it's because it's live, hopefully the album version is better. Loud and Clear sounds pretty cool, and Copycat is kinda neat as well. - -Brett - --------------------------------------------------------------- This is the Ridiculous Thoughts Mailing List Send posts to : cranlist@smoe.org Send unsubscribe requests to: cranlist-request@smoe.org Put "unsubscribe" in the BODY of the message.
