Not only did Korn introduce the band and talk a few secs about the new album, they showed a different version of the video than was shown last week. It was much cooler in my opinion, with more band footage, longer cowboy scenes, and added special effects of the witch flying around. Thank God for VCR's! It was at the end of the show, so it would have been around 12:50 PM, something like that. Luckily I taped it, so I've set that tape aside for a while. Single Release Date Just wanted to let people know about this link I found the other day. It just lists the Canadian date for the Promises single as March 23. http://www.canoe.ca/JamMusicReleases1999/mar99.html However, in the April listing, the album isn't listed for the 27th. This is just Canoe though, they don't seem to be up on everything. It'll probably appear eventually. http://www.canoe.ca/JamMusicReleases1999/apr99.html - --------------------------------------------------------------- This is the Ridiculous Thoughts Mailing List Send posts to : cranlist@smoe.org Send unsubscribe requests to: cranlist-request@smoe.org Put "unsubscribe" in the BODY of the message. Walkoski" Subject: %Cran: TerrorandPromisesArg Ok Dal, This is about the AIDS chain e-mail.I think you wanted to do a good action transmiting that letter but I must inform you and the rest of the list that it was (in my opinion) a spam mail (or worst: a terror mail, made by a joker). This one seems to be a succes chain letter, because last week my mother recived one similar but written in spanish, it told exactly the same as your's with only two modifications: The incident was suppoused to happen in spanien or some other spanish language country and the alarm was given by some medical institute instead of the police department. So it seems it's a popular chain mail (and with different language versions) it tends to create paranoid as for example my mother made a hardcopy of the mail and brought to home for us to read. I told her that it was probably only a spam mail and now thanks to your mail I can prove it. As greg says, the ways to figure out if these are trash or not is to check the media and also this chain letters are usually unsigned or with generic names like "General Police Departments" or "Springfield City". I think the author of that mail wanted to prove himself that he can reach the hole world with that mail (this are the reason's that made other people make virus like the poular MichelAngelo) With so much anti-virus soft, they choose alternative methods to increase their nihilism. So about the cranberries in Argentina I must say that Promises was only used (at the moment) as background sound for a soccer program (called "Futbol de Primera") advertisement last week. It was a short ad for me to know what version was, but I think they used the live version (the chorus part). I think it was not performed in the Mtv-Latina and also wasn't performed at the MuchMusic-Argentina. (I'm not 100% sure but they used to repeat relevant videos like this several times a day and I haven't seen that yet) I'm getting 80% of the news about them through this list at the moment (Thanks a lot 2 you all :-) Here(in Argentina) they usually give everything out in one day, so it will not be strange if they choose the 22nd. of March to give out the video on Tv plus the single on radio. I'll have to wait a little more than other's :_( So thanx again 2 all of you, and see ya later. pd:please don't send messages twice, because of the activity of the list at the moment (~30 messages a day) some e-mail servers may collapse! :o) WALKO. ================================================== Un E-Mail de: Matias G.
