On the other hand, the new Mercury/Island newsletter stated, that those were the only dates on their promo tour. :-> Oh well, it also stated there is a big world tour planned in summer, starting off with some festivals in Europe and then going on. :-))) Take care, - Frederik +++ ICQ *3887587* +++ *Homepage at* http://www.puti.de/home +++ +++ *Cranberries Cover Gallery* +++ http://www.puti.de/crancovers +++ - --------------------------------------------------------------- This is the Ridiculous Thoughts Mailing List Send posts to : cranlist@smoe.org Send unsubscribe requests to: cranlist-request@smoe.org Put "unsubscribe" in the BODY of the message. 'lo all! I've just heard "Promises" on one of Polish radio stations! I even managed to tape most of it! ;-D I think it's a little bit slower than on the Nobel Peace Prize Concert... But it's very similar. I hope you'll hear it soon. I'll try to make an mp3 of it ASAP, but i'm working on a computer without a soundcard! I promised ;-D to make mp3s and video files of the Nobel Prize Concert, but i just can't do it now ;-( But I still hope I'll do it this week... Best wishes! - -- /\__/\ hoping ... All I've ever gotten from them are a couple of photocopied sheets of paper that give me six months old news and offers for "rare" CDs that have been widely available for months. Can't say that it was of any value. YES ! I've just seen the video ! I even recorded it on my video-recorder. Here are my first impressions : The melody of the song is a bit complicated and difficult to remember, so I can't say if I like it or not. I need some time to get used to it. There's nothing that could annoy me here, the melody isn't very repetitive (like in "Go you're own way" or "Salvation"). The song is definitely fast and full of energy. There are many computer sfx in the video. The fx are not very impressive or shocking but they make the video quite unreal. It takes place in a desert area on a very bright night, there's a wind blowing, fast moving clouds look really fantastic. It's like a western movie, indeed. A cheap one but that was surely intended. The make-up of the actors isn't convincing at all. The actors are much younger than the characters they play, so the witch is a quite pretty woman :-) Dolores looks like she did recently (I mean her long blond hair). Her eyes are painted black around. (was that a correct sentence ?) She's dressed in black leather, black boots on high heels and she plays a black guitar which looks really cool. I believe Dolores never smiles during the video. I'm sure you are, guys, gonna like it ! Both song as well as the video. That's all, I think.
