I must have not noticed when the address was changed. If I could erase this stuff I would but with this mail program I can't. Anyway, I tried to send this and sent it to the wrong address and it came back to me. I didn't save it when I sent it so instead of re-typing it I am just going to forward this to you guys. So the actual message is after all this user unknown stuff. Did anyone ever hear that Dolores and Fergal attended the filming of a show on Comedy Central called Make Me Laugh? For anyone who doesn't know, it's a show where a contestant sits in a chair and 3 different acts try to make them laugh. If they laugh, they lose. If not, they win money. So anyway, I just finished watching today's episode, and the host said something interesting during footage of the crowd. He was looking for a new contestant and said something like "and we've got a couple members of the Cranberries here". I wasn't paying attention so I only got a glance at the people he was talking about. But even from a glance they didn't look like Dolores and Fergal. They had similar hairstyles and the guy had similar looking glasses but I don't think it was them. "Dolores" had short reddish brown hair, about post-TTFD/Rockumentary type hair, but "Fergal" had long blond hair (chin length maybe). So this must have been at least a year or two ago, and I don't know if this episode was a rerun or not because I don't watch it all the time. I guess it could have been them, although they didn't look much alike, it *was* only a glance. Anyway, I think it would be pretty cool if it was them. Okay, on to the second bit of news. I was on the CDnow website yesterday doing a "routine" CD check of all my favorite bands to see if there was anything new there. Under the Cranberries section, Isaw something new. It said When You're Gone but it didn't register, I was thinking What You Were (don't ask), and the price was $20. So of course I get all excited and I click on it. Turns out it's a Japanese version of When You're Gone, the very same as the US 7-track, except no screensaver. However, don't the foreign versions usually have extra tracks, and that's what makes them so expensive? I thought it odd that the US version had the same tracks *and* the screensaver, for only 6 bucks. Maybe it is a misprint and it does have the screensaver, and it is just not listed, but isn't the price still kind of weird? Well, enough of my ramblings :) Any thoughts and comments are appreciated. -- Katie ____ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Katie Zegar bgbx10c@prodigy.com "There he's on his knees again, trying to understand why Naveed would let a young man die. So this must have been at least a > year or two ago, and I don't know if this episode was a rerun or not hmmm... why would they go to see a show like that??? not that I'm saying that they wouldn't, but I don't see what's in it for them... I'd assume that something like that would be a great hassle for them... but what would I know... maybe I'll have to become really famous and see how it actually is... ;) > I thought it odd that the US version had the same tracks *and* the > screensaver, for only 6 bucks. Maybe it is a misprint and it does > have the screensaver, and it is just not listed, but isn't the price > still kind of weird? Ummm, the reason that the import costs more (the Jap version) is simply cause it costs them mmoney to import the cd from Japan... they have to buy the cd in Japanese currency (don't konw the exchange rate atm, sorry), and then pay for it to be shipped over to the US (which is where cdnow is, isn't it???), and maybe pay some customs on it, and hence it costs more... doesn't matter about how much is on the cd at all... Over here (Oz) we can either buy the Oz version of TTFD (with 15 tracks) or the US version (13 tracks???) and the US version is more expensive cause it has come from the US, but mainly cause cd's get hit with a large tax when they are imported by record stores here... > Well, enough of my ramblings and definately enough of mine... :) nic... <<--------------- "I can't believe that!" said Alice.
