In last october I had the opportunity to go to a K's Choice promo concert only for journalists and then the guitarist became ill and the show was cancelled. Sure, those remixes are fine, but you were right when you said I meant the remixes you listen to and cannot find anything that the mix and the original song have in common. Mixes in terms of "alternate versions" can be great, when well done. Sometimes I wonder how you can ever make a (techno-)remix out of a rocksong? You simply cannot keep enough of the song's elements to make it worth listening to. I mean, wow, I can > probably say I have over 8 copies of a single version of a single song > just cause of that!!! ;) ho hum... such is life... ;) Lucky enough they only did that with the first single, somehow like a teaser to the album as it was not yet released. Live versions of album songs on the other hand do both. They make ppl buy the album if they like it *and* do not "spoil" the actual studio version's "tension". ;-) Take care, - Frederik +++ ICQ *3887587* +++ *Homepage at* http://www.toevo.de/puti +++ +++ *Cranberries Cover Gallery* +++ http://crancovers.home.pages.de +++ - --------------------------------------------------------------- This is the Ridiculous Thoughts Mailing List Send posts to : cranlist@smoe.org Send unsubscribe requests to: cranlist-request@smoe.org Put "unsubscribe" in the BODY of the message. Out of the others I'd probably recommend Yesterday's Gone (once again, it's the only one I have --well, mine's under a different title, but it's the same content), because it has the full unplugged. Does anyone know if Songs Against War is any good? This site is also worth looking for other artists, because it's such a large range. (Keep in mind, they've listed solo artists alphabetically by FIRST names). Ciao. All I know is that they were recommended to me by my brother's friends. They tell me that they have dealt with them, and that they were very good. Hope this helps (?)
