Those fortunite enough to live in Norway will get to see the concert live tonight. But us that are fortunite enough to even get the Fox Family Channel, it will include some backstage footage, and stuff, so I bet those that see it live won't be able to get that. The whole thing on the FFC will be 2 hours long, so i'm sure there's gonna be some extra stuff For more info on the Nobel Peace Prize concert, the upcoming album, tour, single, etc., look on the Cranberries Gazette: http://www.fortunecity.com/tinpan/deadhead/454/ -Cranguy - ----Original Message Follows---- From: YeatsGrave@aol.com Date: Thu, 10 Dec 1998 20:56:37 EST To: cranlist@smoe.org Subject: %Cran: Nobel Concert Hey all, I think someone already posted something about this, but if I remember correctly, they posted the wrong date. The Nobel concert will be aired Sunday, Dec. 20th from 8-10pm on the Fox Family Channel, so set your VCR's! I'm glad we get to hear they play live again, I just wish they would've chosen other songs than Dreams and Linger, but beggars can't be choosers, right? I can't wait to hear Promises. I got this message from TheCranberries mailing list. Bye, Diego - --------------------------------------------------------------------- From: "Anders Engebråten" Hello my fellow cran-fans. I have just gotten home from the BEST concert I have ever attented!!! My voice is so sore and so are my hands from all the clapping. Yes, you guessed it: tonight was the big night; the night where I finally got to see The Cranberries live in Oslo (they have never been to Norway before I think). It was so incredibly good, I lack words describing how extraordinary it was. The Cranberries started the whole thing (next after this boy's choir) with the song "Dreams". Like they said, you probably have heard it many times before. But after "Dreams", they for the first time in public I guess, played "Promises". And take my word for it, this song is going to be a huge hit. It is AWESOME, incredible, divine - i don't know what to say. It was really really really cool. And Dolores sang so nice as she always does, and she looked very nice too. Her hair was different, but very stylish, very cool. They all looked great. This hasn't got anything with The Cranberries to do, but nevermind: Among the other artists were Alanis Morissette who did 3 great songs, Phil Collins with two beautiful songs, Espen Lind with a quite cool song, I think, with quite funny lyrics, a-ha was reunited, and they played a SUPERB new song as well as the old hit "The Sun Always Shines on TV", Enrique Iglesias performed a song which I would categorize as "i-am-ready-to-throw-up" and many other artists performed. And additional, on the big screens there came messages and greetings from very outstanding personalities all over the world. Like Gerry Adams, Tony Blair, Elton John, Bono from U2, Bill Clinton and Norway's own prime-minister (big deal ...) It was all SPECTACULAR, and if you find out when they will broadcast it in your home-country, I strongly suggest you see the whole thing. 'Cause I thought it was FANTASTIC. Have a wonderful time. Love from a very excited cran-fan in Oslo, Norway; Anders. PS: NRK will only send an edited version of the concert on Saturday, but the 25th December they will send the whole thing, so I guess it will be broadcasted soon all over the world. - --------------------------------------------------------------------- DA - --------------------------------------------------------------- This is the Ridiculous Thoughts Mailing List Send posts to : cranlist@smoe.org Send unsubscribe requests to: cranlist-request@smoe.org Put "unsubscribe" in the BODY of the message.
