It's been so interesting reading about everyone...it kind of makes you guys seem more like real people and less like words on a screen. My name is Heather Mercer, and I'm from Oshawa, Ontario, Canada. I'm 18 and finished highschool last year. This year I'm taking a year off because I'm not really sure where I specifically want to go from here. I love music (singing and playing guitar), english (literature and amateur writing), horseback riding, camping, etc. This year I've been working for a group called "Christian Horizons", which is an organization which cares for the developmentally handicapped in group-home settings. I have been working there for only just under two months. I work especially with a guy who is autistic. It has been challenging at times, but worth it. Let's see... although I have always loved music, I was never "into" any bands except what I heard on the radio (which wasn't much). The first time I heard about the 'berries was back in grade nine, which was back in the eeidiswcw era, maybe just before nnta. my cousin really liked them and told me about them but I didn't really pay much attention. Three years later....which was only last august....I heard "Dreams" for the first time. I remember the moment so well....My new boyfriend was into them and he played dreams on the stereo in my room...I was hooked immediately. Since then, my love and devotion have surpassed even his, they are my favourite band bar none! In a way, they have also got me into other music such as Veruca Salt, Hayden, silverchair, Nirvana, Counting Crows, Ani DiFranco, Sarah Mclachlan, Beastie Boys, and lots of others. (I obviously can't wait for the new album)... enough about me....if anyone still hasn't decloaked, DO, you're not boring us....! see ya heather === "sometimes," replied the skin horse, for he was always truthful. Though it was officially stated that Odd Bits & Hits CD wasn't released, I suspect that it was! Right now I'm holding in my hands it's pirated Bulgarian reprint, and I believe that pirates needed to have an original to make a copy. This one has the small paper insert instead of the booklet, but it has all Japanese copyrights on it's back. Here's the track list: 1. Go Your Own Way 2. Linger 3. Free To Decide 4. Salvation 5. Zombie 6. When You're Gone 7. Ode To My Family 8. Dreams 9. Hollywood 10. I Can't Be With You 11. Ridiculous Thoughts 12. Dreaming My Dreams 13. Joe 14. Pretty 15. I Still Do 16. Cordell 17. So Cold In Ireland 18. Away 19. I Don't Need Manufactured and Distributed by Universal Victor Inc., Japan. Stereo Jasrac Actually there's nothing *really* rare, but it would be great to have the original (not pirated) Japanese CD in the collection... Does anybody know anything about it? Check out the CD's cover art on my homepage: http://www.geocities.com/Broadway/9226/oddbits1.jpg http://www.geocities.com/Broadway/9226/oddbits2.jpg > if anyone still hasn't decloaked, DO, you're not boring us....! Well... OK. I'm Alex Roschin (Aleksandr Alexeievich Roschin), human, Russian, male, 27, PC programmer. I live in Moscow, Russia - that's why my English is so poor :) Last year I've got a degree (close to European "doctor") in technical sciences but it haven't made me more clever :) I have two jobs: CAD programmer in Institute of Control Sciences and DB programmer in the small company named "Aeroprogress" that creates small databases for civic aviation. The first Cranberries' song I heard was Zombie. I've seen a music video on TV and thought - "what a strange song!" But when I heard it again I was hooked. I hurried out to buy the CD and I got a Bulgarian reprint of NNTA (I wasn't concerned much about music that time so I didn't know where I can get official CDs in Moscow). It was the second CD I've ever bought - the first was Dire Straits' "Brothers in Arms" that I got with the CD-ROM. After listening to NNTA several times I felt that the Cranberries are the greatest band I've ever heard! I've decided to get EEIDI, but I was thinking like "well, their first album couldn't be as good as the second one..." What a fool I was! The Cranberries are the only band that makes me like ALL their songs. Here are my favourite ones: Empty, I Don't Need, I Will Always, Joe, Pathetic Senses, Linger, Cordell, Wanted... I should stop before I list them all :) Some people say that they were disappointed by TTFD, but I like it! Other musicians and bands I like: Queen, Dire Straits, Tori Amos, No Doubt, Tanya Donelly, AC/DC (some), some old Russian rock bands. Can't think of anybody else right now... Well, that's all about me. I bet everybody got bored and quit reading before that line :) Yours faithfully, Alex Roschin E-mail: rochinaa@ipu.rssi.ru , rochinaa@usa.net URL: http://www.geocities.com/Broadway/9226/ - --------------------------------------------------------------- This is the Ridiculous Thoughts Mailing List Send posts to : cranlist@smoe.org Send unsubscribe requests to: cranlist-request@smoe.org Put "unsubscribe" in the BODY of the message. Putting it in */Ridiculous Thoughts* was okay, definitely, but still... > A good place to find promo singles, or anything else cran-related cheap, > check www.ebay.com Yup, this really is a great place for cran items... I already got the three NNTA Singles Boxsets there, and some promos and vinyls as well, often for prices cheaper than originally in stores.
