I believe it also stars Ellen Burstyn though I may be wrong. I also think it's based on a book. Anyway Follow the River is well worth seeing. Subject: Re: [chakram-refugees] You Never Know About Those Cheap DVDs...;) I saw 'Follow The River' years back and enjoyed it. The flood occurred a bit west of here in San Antonio and I still recall when it happened. Do you think the 'Buffy' favoritism may be because it was filmed/produced here in the States? Mark B. Young" Subject: Re: [chakram-refugees] You Never Know About Those Cheap DVDs...;) Actually, I was more captivated by the beginning of Prairie Fever with KSorbo, surprisingly (because I expected it to be cheesy and it wasn't). The beginning of Follow the River was a little slow (if I recall).....? (I've only had time to skim these, mind you. ;) ) And it was funny to see William Shatner act like Captain Kirk on Pioneer Woman....;) LOL I think (as we've discussed over the years) the "prejudice" against XWP was that it was syndicated, rather than where it was shot, whereas Buffy was on a network. But what a change to nowadays, eh, since writers are covering all sorts of entertainment on cable, online, etc.....?!!? XWP would've had a much easier time to get promoted nowadays, but OTOH, I think it was the "pioneer" (speaking of all these "pioneer" shows ;) ) for the rest of the shows to look for their start on other channels/venues.....;) Just MO, ;) - --Jackie On Mon, 23 Mar 2015, Mark B. wrote: > I saw 'Follow The River' years back and enjoyed it.
