I always thought that was a bit more spicy than the Herc-Xena hook-up, but that's just my 2 dinars. ;) Of course, Kevin Smith is sorely missed, in more ways than one.....;( > But I was very disappointed in Xena for deceiving Ares from start to finish > about her intentions, seeing as how Ares kept his side of the bargain (and > Xena knew he would) in quite spectacular fashion - confronting Athena in > front of her entire army - while Xena resorted to a trick (the fake baby) and > a technicality to welsh on the deal. I don't think that was worthy of Xena. - --Also agreed. For someone who seemed to have higher moral standards in other comparable situations ("I never killed women and children"), Xena seemed to relegate Ares' obsession with her to a bit of male lust, not worthy of being taken seriously, and therefore OK with which to use trickery. I thought that was a bit of male/Ares dissing, which, as you say, was not worthy of Xena.
