Young" Subject: [chakram-refugees] OS: Legend of Seeker--S2 Caught Legend of Seeker over the weekend, conclusion of S1 and beginning of S2, and it's turning out to be very good--with a lot of "moves" reminiscent of XWP. ;) The writing's becoming more complex, with multiple storylines, and quite a bit darker than at the beginning--a lot like XWP (the S2 opener had Confessor Calin attempting to murder her son by Raul in the future, much like XWP attempting to murder Gabs in China). There're also more fight scenes, with "fantastic" slo-mo shots and CG effects, also ala XWP (this week's shows featured a "screecher" magical animal made of bare bones, much like in Them Bones). Danielle Cormack (Ephiny) figured in heavily as the sorceress Chota (sp?), and Michael Hurst directed Part I of the ender and Mark Beesley Part II, all XWP alums. Also, the "sisterhood" of the Mort Sith (sp?) reminds me a lot of the Amazons. There was a scene where the remaining Sith (forgot her name, but the one who saved Richard in the future) was naked in a bathing pool and there were multiple shots of her rising and then fighting a fellow Sith, all without any "key" parts showing, obviously in a "teasing-the-audience" sort of way. Reminded me a lot of the scene in S2 of XWP (Altared States?) where Xena rose out of the lake near-naked to fight the baddies with fish. ;) Anyway, it's a partial XWP fix; you might want to check it out. ;) Just FYI, - --Jackie ****************************************************** * Proud to have the same birthday as Lucy Lawless! * * * * "I think New Zealand geographically comes from * * ...
