It was about a king who had asked a sorceress (Cormack) to help him protect his kingdom against Darken Rahl by casting a spell to turn him into a killing beast at night. Trouble was, he was also killing innocent victims, like his wife, as well. Enter Richard and his Sword of Truth, the only thing that can kill the beast. Lots of mass fighting scenes against unreasonable odds, as in XWP, and Cormack plays a significant role in saving the kingdom from Rahl's attack. Another few elements from XWP: a princess in crisis, with the solution ending in compromise. ;) Not a bad show. ;) JMO, - --Jackie ****************************************************** * Proud to have the same birthday as Lucy Lawless! * * * * "I think New Zealand geographically comes from * * ... I really like the scenery and 'spot the XPW alumni' As you say, Ephiny is looking a bit older -- aren't we all ? By the end of the season I was hooked, but not rabid -- waiting to see how Season 2 turns out. Mark - ---- "Jackie M.
