Which of > course, Lucy has not done. Yet. Half of those I just could not see as action heroes, frankly. Well, actually, most of 'em I don't know at all anyway. (Half of 'em sound like pornstars to me, but that just shows I have a deplorable mind :) But the omissions are more glaring than the list! Though I have a sneaking suspicion there's an unwritten rule operating that they have to be under 25 to qualify, which rules out all the names I would have thought of. Viz, Sigourney Weaver, Linda Hamilton, Uma Thurman, Jennifer Garner, Lucy of course, ... I could go on. Actually, it's almost as if the compilers of the list said 'if you've got any credits as a female action star, we don't want you'. Which may be the point, I guess. In which case, Lucy's _omission_ from the list just confirms her established status. > Im not sure why you claim this list validates that Xena is a dead cult > show when many other female cult figures are not on this list either. > Since you say Lucy not being on this one guys personal pick list makes > you think Xena is a dead cult show, then surely you must believe that all > the other cult shows that dont have the female actors from them listed > are also dead. Well, obviously the person who compiled this list was a geriatric like me :) (Huge snippage) > And of course, Xena is still being referenced in movies, in TV shows, in > books and even in the real world of politics, as shorthand for a strong, > tough woman. The direct result being that Pluto lost its planetary status (since it was smaller than the proposed 'planet' Xena, IIRC). She's a handsome-looking woman with a great figure and a gorgeous tan. It'd be a crime for her to hide it. I reckon she could punch out Dick Cheney, at that (I'd pay money to see that... :) (Michelle Obama we're talking about). And oh yeah, I reckon Xena is in good company in that article (It listed her alongside Athena, Boadicea, Jeanne d'Arc, Elizabeth 1, Sarah Connor and Wonder Woman, for those of you who didn't click the URL). Nicely spotted KT. Actually, since we're into wild female-action-hero speculation, I reckon Ms Obama could quite well fill a female-guest-star role on Herc or Xena, along the lines of Nebula or Boadicea. cr ========================================================= This has been a message to the chakram-refugees list.
