Subject: [chakram-refugees] We're No. 9 -- TV Guide list

TV Guide, Nov. 17 issue, p.  68, has a column  called
"Countdown" by Damian Holbrook.  "They've got  sex
appeal and flex appeal.  They're TV's toughest  action
heroes."  His list has some cutesy comic chatter  with
each entry.  With only one of his annotations, his list 
reads--
10.  Bionic Woman and Six Million Dollar  Man.
9.  Xena: Warrior Princess. "Take one part  leather
bustier, two parts camp and a healthy dash of 
bellowing bad girl, and you get the ill-tempered  Grecian
goddess.  She was better with swords than  words,
could throw down with the big boys like  Hercules
and could still find special time for her BFF  Gabrielle.
They were just friends, right?"
8. Brandon Walsh (90210) (with an explanation that  his
"action" was mostly sexual).
7. Walker, Texas Ranger
6. La Femme Nikita
5. Magnum, P.I.
4. Sydney Bristow
3. Jack Bauer
2. Buffy the Vampire Slayer
1. MacGyver.
 
Not a terrible list (except for Nikita being higher than  Xena)
and his remarks on Xena actually show some  understanding
of the show.
