It's nothing like Xena, but I never expected it to be. It's really interesting and I thought it was very entertaining. I'll cross my fingers that more people will start watching. I found the first 2 eps online and also it's site, here's the links. Somewhere in the videos link is the one Lucy Lawless did for this show: http://www.legendoftheseeker.com/ Press play at the bottom of the viewing window, not the middle. When the middle button stops buffering, press, the bottom play button again, then it should begin (doing it this way helps to avoid the annoying ad): http://www.megavideo.com/?v=J8R3M9BK Here's an info site with more links: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legend_of_the_Seeker "I've got my own past to deal with, I'm not taking the weight of your crimes anymore." - -- KLOSSNER9@aol.com wrote: Legend of the Seeker, the new syndicated series by Tapert and Raimi, introduced by a making-of special hosted by Lawless, arrived with a thud over the weekend. After destroying the world he created in the last season of Xena (most of the gods, the Amazons, the centaurs), Tapert is now going in a different direction, to a sort of low-budget LOTR. No one would call the fight scenes in Xena stark realism, but in this series we get a sorceress in a long flowing dress and an untrained farm boy with a magic sword wiping out dozens of soldiers. It's sword and sorcery without any grit. The backgrounds are so dark they are almost b&w. There is a lot of comic book style CGI, with dialogue to match. Most important, the pretty boy and pretty girl leads have about a quarter the presence of Lawless and O'Connor. These two have as much charisma as an average one-episode guest on Xena/Herc. I'll keep watching but just too see if they do anything unexpected.
