Subject: [chakram-refugees] IMDB best TV list coming?

For a long time Internet Movie Database either  forbade
or discouraged ratings of TV series, while letting fans  rate
films.  Now they are permitting user ratings of TV  series.
A few days ago, IMDB had a one-day question, asking 
whether people wanted a list of the 250 best TV shows, 
the same as their list of 250 best films, as  determined
by users' ratings.  The question asked if people wanted 
a list of 250 best TVs or a shorter list of 100 best  TV
shows.  Most people voted or a list of 250, as I  did.
 
Even if the best TV list comes to IMDB, Xena won't be 
on it as things stand now.  IMDB rates films by a  combination
of users' average ratings and the number of raters.  
Otherwise little films that are rated high by a tiny  number
of people would beat all the popular big films, which 
always have some detractors.  Right now Xena has 
only a 6.7 rating, which isn't high at all.  Hercules  has
6.5   Buffy, by comparison, has 8.6 and a much  higher
number of raters.  
 
Please consider going on IMDB and giving Xena the 
highest rating your conscience permits.  At  the
Xena page, click on the word "more" below the 
rating summary.  This takes you to a page where 
you  can enter your vote.
 
If you're really ruthless you could also enter very low 
votes for the other major shows.
