Mostly I remember Xena being contrasted with Wonder Woman and the Bionic Woman. But I agree that if there was any TV heroine at all like Xena, to me it would have been Emma Peel. Emma came along when I was quite young, and I was always saddened that her type (for lack of a better word) never reappeared on TV--UNTIL THAT FATEFUL NIGHT BACK IN '95.
