She often settled chaotic, fannish disputes with terse, clear logic. Since the show went off, Stein has had her first book published -- The Byronic Hero in Film, Fiction and Television (2004). An address to a description is below. The blurb says that she includes examples from Star Trek: Next Generation, Angel, Pale Rider, Unforgiven, Teminator, Aliens, The Crow and Sandman. I am a little disappointed that there seems to be nothing on Xena. I would have thought that Ares would be a Byronic hero.
