I think Alex and Bob did an amazing job with how they were limited. They had to take over an action heroine show where the heroine was frelling pregnant. Gee, do you think that limits your options with what you can do with her and the season? Ummmmm...YES! Sure, season five had some shitty eps, I will admit. But when season five rocked, season five FRELLING ROCKED! My favourite two eps of Xena are in season five - "Eve" and "Fallen Angel". These guys had to work around Xena having a baby! I mean my favourite two eps ("Eve" and "Fallen Angel") are in season five. On top of that, regardless of what you think of Xena season five, I will point out that Alex and Bob worked on Alias when it was GOOD!!!!! (no one can deny that the earlier seasons of Alias were the best). Alex and Bob were also behind the better seasons of Hercules (writing wise).
