Subject: [chakram-refugees] Eris (was Xena) the biggest dwarf

A short news item Friday says that Eris, the dwarf  planet
informally called Xena by its discoverers, has now been 
confirmed as the largest dwarf planet in the solar  system.
(That's sort of like "The world's tallest  midget.")   Study of the 
orbit of Eris's moon (once called Gabrielle) allowed 
scientists to determine that Eris is 27% more  massive
than Pluto, once a planet, now a dwarf.
