The CSI crew was investigating a murder which involved a group of people who thought lizard like aliens had invaded earth. While searching the apartment of one of the suspects they found drawings of lizard people and a female human warrior who looked suspiciously like Xena. Lt. Brass refers to the picture as Xena, Warrior Princess and later when Kathryn find a sword on top the lady suspect's refrigerator Brass says "Hello Xena". Lady suspect apparently did attack an innocent blackjack dealer with her sword while dressed in a Xena costume (she did not think she was Xena merely the defender of the world) because she thought the dealer was the "Reptilian Athena". Now I have to believe some one at CSI is a Xena fan not just because Xena was mention but that they even identified the woman their Xena-like character tried to kill as Athena-not Lizard Queen or Lizard Demon, but Athena whom Xena did kill with a sword. Jerry Bruckheimer's shows seem to cast a quite a few Xena alumni. Sherrie Rappaport is a continuing character on CSI, Hudson Leick appeared as a scary dentist who liked to bite people, the guy who played Rafe popped up in one episode, and Melinda Clark has appeared a number of times as Lady Heather, a dominatrix, think of her as a more sympathetic Valasca. Ted Ramie was a guest star on CSI NY. Kathryn Morris of course is the star of Cold Case. Her character was referred to in the first episode as a "crusader". Perhaps these are only coincident but if Renee shows up on CSI channeling Hope as a diabolical killer I will be convinced there is a Xenite behind the scenes on CBS.
