I actually got far more out of Lucy's performance, too, for the same reason - I had a better appreciation of how her actions fitted in to the background. Leaving aside the 'Lucy factor', I'd agree the ep was possibly a bit 'light' compared with the typical BSG ep - a consequence of the plot. I thought Lucy did excellently, though - her attitude reminded me a bit of young Xena meeting Caesar for the first time - a little bit cocky. She was good and she knew it. She certainly seemed quite ready to meet Adama head-on. Along with that was a certain enigmatic expression on her face from time to time, as if she knew things (or had intentions) that she wasn't disclosing. As, of course, was the case, her being a Cylon.... but even knowing that, I did love the 'reveal' at the end where her documentary was screened to the other Cylons on Caprica. (In fact this made much more sense to me this time round - the first time, never having seen any other eps and not knowing there were multiple copies of Cylons, I assumed that the screening was taking place 'some time later' and d'Anna Biers had travelled there - rather than the d'Anna lookalike at the screening being a copy). (Since I wrote that, I just watched the commentary, and Ron Moore said that ending is his favourite, and even though he knows what the ending is, Lucy does such a good job as a reporter that the 'reveal' still catches him by surprise - that's roughly what he said. I agree. And I love the delight on Caprica-Sharon's face when she finds that Galactica-Sharon is still alive. Dare I say it, the humanoid Cylons are rapidly becoming my favourite characters :) I'm certainly looking forward to LL's return in later eps! cr ========================================================= This has been a message to the chakram-refugees list. I live less than an hour and a half away, but there's no way I'm giving Creation a cent of my money... not even to see LL in concert. $89 for a show at the Canal Room should be illegal. Similar industry showcases in the same space have ticket prices of $15 - $30. This is yet another transparent attempt on Creation's part to extort money out of the HCNBs, simply because they think they can. And the sad thing is, I'm sure all three of the shows will be sold out within the week. Sigh. - -- =============================================== Meredith Tarr New Haven, CT USA mailto:meth@smoe.org http://www.smoe.org/meth =============================================== hear at the HOMe House Concert Series http://hom.smoe.org =============================================== ========================================================= This has been a message to the chakram-refugees list.
