His reaction is so out of portion to the situation. I am almost tempted to say the guy's got a screw loose somewhere. He seems to have completely forgotten that he left Hercules to star in Andromeda leaving Renaissance scrambling to replace Hercules - so perhaps none of TPTB feel they owe him anything. As for his indignation at being asked to read I would think that is common practice unless you are a major star after all Lucy often mentions that she has to read for parts and she doesn't find it beneath her dignity. I think it is possible that Kevin is just a tad difficult to be around and that may be the reason people who have worked with him in the past may not wish to work with him again. Anyway let's invite him to the Con next year and we can all throw rotten veggies at him perhaps he would enjoy the attention. ROTFLMFAO!!!! Yes, this we must do! :D But you have to love the jump from Lucy's little nudge, nudge 5 second cameo to "I should play a villain in Spider-Man". Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuh.......... (It was a 'new' location, on the west coast a couple of hours' north of Auckland - and apparently on private land or not accessible to the general public. That's all the information that's ever leaked out before.) I suspected the west coast west or south-west of Dargaville, (he says, patting himself on the back - smug bastard! :) but I never bothered to go looking - - just too much coast to cover. Actually, if Pouto is an hours' drive from Dargaville - which it could well be, depending on what the road's like - then it's about four hours from Auckland. South Head, just across the Kaipara Harbour entrance, from Pouto, is just one hour's drive. Pouto's an incredibly isolated spot, in the sense that nobody ever has any reason to go there. I've never been nearer to it than Dargaville - it's a dead end. If you want to find it on the map of New Zealand, first find Auckland. On the south-west side of Auckland is the Manukau Harbour, which is the big round blob with the narrow entrance. Just to the north of the Manukau on the west coast are the Waitakere Ranges and Bethells - Xena country. Now the next harbour up, which is long and thin and BIGGER - that's the Kaipara Harbour. And right on the north side of the harbour entrance, but on the inland side facing the harbour (rather than the Tasman Sea) is Pouto. If you follow the harbour edge north for fifteen miles to where it turns into a river, then follow the river north for another 15 miles, you reach Dargaville. That's as the crow flies, it's 40 miles by road. If you want to get to Pouto from Auckland, first you must drive to Dargaville. That's the lowest bridge on the Wairoa River. Then you come back on your tracks south for 40 miles. See why nobody ever goes there? cr ========================================================= This has been a message to the chakram-refugees list.
