Amen to that.  Now I know why I never wanted to watch Andromeda.  When I
watched HTLJ, I was more interested in seeing Michael Hurst - a far, far
superior actor.  (As an aside, Michael Hurst sat next to me at the Xena con
Charity Breakfast and it was quite the treat.  He was simply giddy at having
had dinner the night before with Dick Van Dyke.  So was his wife, Jennifer
Ward-Lealand.)  Michael Hurst has always been very professional about his
time on Herc.  I suspect we'd never hear of very much from him about
conflicts behind the scenes.  My impression about how he felt about the show
was that it was a place to relax and have fun.

Boy howdy, YES.  I think ABC has high hopes for the show, so it's likely to
get picked up in the fall.  I think it'll be great to see Lucy every week.
With luck it'll be as good as Ugly Betty (one of my very favorite shows this
year.)

Yeah, I wasn't too excited. The title of the show alone makes me want to run for the hills. Will I watch it? Yes. Do I want to? No. Really, there's only been THREE things I've WANTED to watch that Lucy did since Xena:

- - Veronica Mars
- - X-Files
- - The Darkroom

Everything else has just been mean to make me watch. :D  (though Lucy ruled in everything)

Just on the topic of Lucy doing a new show...  I'm glad because it makes her 
more accesable to her fans.  It's all very well keeping updated on her 
website about the convention, the concert and such - but I'm looking forward 
to getting a regular 'fix'... something to watch first hand rather than read 
other fans' reports about what she is doing, half a world away.

Although no doubt I'll have the same problem as with BSG - as soon as I 
heard Lucy was working on that I went and rented the pilot and series 1, got 
addicted, had to source series 2 from Australian contact and you wouldn't 
believe the lengths I have gone to, to see series 3 soon after it screens in 
the States.

Anyhoo... Footballers Wives (the original British version) was reasonably 
popular here (in NZ) from what I remember so it will be interesting to see 
what the Americans do with it.

We will all just have to wait and see!
