There's just a few of us oldsters around who remember that--I believe Kym is one of them--but I and about 100 others were on the very first Xena list then.....Ah...the *really* old days! ;) Just FYI, - --Jackie ****************************************************** * Proud to have the same birthday as Lucy Lawless! * * * * JACKIE YOUNG, JYOUNG@LAVA.NET * * * * * ****************************************************** ========================================================= This has been a message to the chakram-refugees list. In Robin Hood in Popular Culture, edited by Thomas Hahn, Linda V. Troost has a chapter "Robin Hood Musicals in Eighteenth-Century London." On p. 257 Troost discusses the 1783 comic opera Robin Hood. She sings-- With bended bow, The buck or ode, I never fail, Through rain or hail, Though thunders roll From pole to pole. To conquer with my oh, ho,ho! Troost writes, "She comes across like an eighteenth-century Xena, warrior princess, singing coloratura flourishes and high Gs on the suggestive "oh, ho, ho!""
