You GO GRRL! And you know what? NO ONE LOST. This was for charity. :) For me, it was about Lucy making it until the end because they I got to see the most number of performances and WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW. She was killer. And the woman grew a LOT with her singing talent during this AND, to top that off, Lucy was HAVING A BLAST! This wasn't 'therapy' for her this time, it was FUN - which can only open doors for more singing in the future. You'll always be number one with us, Lucy. You remain forever the Flawless One. :) BATTLE ON XENA! This wasn't 'therapy' for her this time, it was FUN - which can only open doors for more singing in the future. I daresay it opened doors for more than that in her career. Lots of people saw her who had never seen her before, just knew her peripherally as "Xena". As cheezy as this show was, and as washed-up as all the other contestants were, it introduced her to the mainstream audience at large. I'll bet she gets more and better acting jobs because of this. (I hope!!) She obviously had the time of her life--good on her. (Hey-that would have been a good song to sing "I've had the time of my life.) I'm am so going to miss getting to watch her put herself out there every week. Thanks Luce for the flash in the pan excitement you've given us the last five weeks. I loved her last piece of advice on that backstage tape http://lucylawlessfanclub.com/ (backstage video 8) - --"Do something that scares you--the payback is enormous!" What a cool human being she is. First I hoped she wouldn't be thrown off the first week and that she'd get to sing with Smokey. Then when she pulled that off, I was hoping she'd be in the finals. Then I was hoping she'd beat Hal at least whom I thought was one of the worst singers. And then it would have been nice if she'd won, but second was pretty fine too. And besides I thought Alphonse and Jai are definitely better singers than she is. She's got more star power than both of them put together though. Star radiance even. And America saw that I'm thinking. What a fun ride this last month has been, being dragged along the Lucy roller coaster again. Whew! There was only going to be one 'winner', the best the others could do was 'runner-up', and some of them were going to get knocked out early in the piece. That might be OK for complete unknowns who have nothing to lose, but IMO it requires a certain amount of courage for any celebrity to take part in something like that (quite aside from the courage required to perform in front of an audience). So all credit to all the contestants (and especially, of course, Lucy !) cr ========================================================= This has been a message to the chakram-refugees list.
