Okay, so the first thing I did when the Sunday paper with the TV guide listing arrived was to check when Lucy's show would be showing here. It's tonight at seven. However, I just checked it again to be sure (though the Warrior Princess has been reduced to a pile of ashes, the obsession lives on) and see next to the listing the parenthetical notice: (tape of live performance). ARGH! Of COURSE it's a tape--if it was live here at 7 p. m., it would be live in New York at 11 p. m. Though that city never sleeps, I'm betting that the type of people who vote for these reality shows do. How COULD I not have been aware of that earlier? So, to my horror I suddenly wonder how I will know when to actually call in to vote and what number to call in on to vote for Luce? I see on the fox site that the taping starts at 3:30pm Pacific time. So how the heck does this work? It can't be being shown at 3:30pm. So do votes during the taped show also count? I know up here, we get the phone number and "Call now!" demands when PBS does it's excruciating fund raising, but then we also get a trailer at the bottom saying something like, "Taped show--do not call." I think we need people to watch it and then get online and please, please, PLEASE tell the rest of us the number to call. I'm gonna figure that on the West Coast, it will play at seven also--and I'll try to slip in votes with them folks. But I do need to know when and what to call.
