If you don't get here! (pay per view/on demand), the first episode is available for legal download on movielink.com. (Look under tv shows > here tv.) He's naked and having sex with another guy within the first ten minutes of the show :-) It's about a group of gay men living in a building haunted by Lee's character, Ambrosius. angie in NM http://xenawp.org http://lesbian-films.com ========================================================= This has been a message to the chakram-refugees list. Um, you're on Flawless, right? I just realized this was for C-R. I did some first thought on BSG, but posted them to Flawless. Crap, my brain is already a mess, without two different streams of BSG discussions. Anyway, I said "Downloaded" blew me away. I expected to like it okay because of Lucy, but the whole thing far exceeded what I hoped would be sufficiently "okay" that I wasn't hooked. Suffice it to say, I'm really, really close to being hooked. Really close. S. writes: <> I was thinking of the AIs from "Space Above and Beyond." While they were hell bent on plaguing humanity with none existence, they were fascinated with the random nature of mankind, that humans did not follow predictable paths, that no matter what humans did they shaped their own destiny. Cylons too seemingly are following that path. They too are fastinated with humans. Like the AIs from "Space Above and Beyond" they are attemping to understand human behavior when it comes to chance. "Above and Beyond" AIs played games of chance at every opportunity. The Cylons roll the dice everytime they are reincarnated with a new life to try out. And so now two Cylons have had high rolls on thier dice, six and eight. This last episode suggests that they are determined to hold on to their current rolls, their current lives. Six and eight are not buying three's philosophy that each death is a learning experience. The Cylons however were also shown restoring a park on Caprica. And as you well know parks are cultivated orderly affairs for the most part. I have this vision of hundreds of Cylons playing chess in the park. Six and eight though I see playing poker. They just need to work on their poker faces. Right now their tells are so easy to read. They need to hook up with the staff officers of the "Enterprise" D and sit in on a few hands. <> The majority of Cylons appear to be Stoics. They believe in natural law. As in yes, the universe is going to trample over you and that bad things happen to good people. You just have to realize this and get on with your life, er death?. Didn't Sharon ask Adama if it wasn't time for humans to just give up and let the Cylons take over? And like most Stoics the Cylons did take out an insurance policy. Sharon's child. Hmmm? I wonder if it won't grow 'Cylonically' fast? Will Sharon meet her '25 year old' daughter? Will Sharon's daughter become a cult leader? Or will she have both her mother's and father's memories and become a super spy for the Cylons or maybe even the Colonials? She could work for Section six! And her appearance? Will she look like Renee or Hudson or...? Will she use the 'cult of celebrity' for exploitive purposes as six and eight are now planning to do? I think I mentioned Marton Csokas being in it back then. The only thing good I can say about it was that it inspired a release of the original "Aeon Flux" animated shorts and series on DVD. I'd been waiting for that for years. Perhaps she has grown sympathetic to them since her positive documentary about Galactica. So that would present D'anna coming in conflict with Caprica 3 and Lucy playing scenes with herself (shades of Xena and Meg). Now a suggestion for those who don't get BSG - all the shows so far have come out on DVD so they can be rented either from Netflix (my favorite) or Blockbuster. The show is excellent even when Lucy isn't on it. CherylA ========================================================= This has been a message to the chakram-refugees list.
