Long before she was world famous as the star of the hit TV show "Xena, Warrior Princess," New Zealand actress Lucy Lawless demonstrated her concern for children in need by sponsoring a Bangladeshi child through World Vision. In "Five Days in Bangladesh," Lucy meets the boy she has been helping for 10 years, and many other children like him. She also talks with the people trying to make a positive difference in this troubled nation, and looks at what can be done to help it in its struggle with poverty. http://www.tvnz.co.nz/view/page/413551/650834 - -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Catch ya later NZJester - -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- ========================================================= This has been a message to the chakram-refugees list. My mind is murky right now, but didn't Rob come out and say he regretted some ep in Season V? It was Kindred Spirits, maybe. Or something else in that arc. I can just barely remember, so I probably don't have it right, but mostly I remember the feeling I had because it was weird to me that the bossman would apologize or say he regretted making an ep. I hope someone remembers this because I'm having a hard time elucidating. I said: >>Oh, man... Is it made of chocolate? :) Making long stories short, buying DVDs has been the lowest priority on my list for a while (especially when I still had some of the VCR tapes laying around). I haven't even been able to buy the DVDs for my other two fave shows, L Word and Battlestar Galactica. But that's neither here nor there for this list, what's important is that I'm ready, willing, and able now. *s* S. ========================================================= This has been a message to the chakram-refugees list. I liked it and her performance. While she didn't screw over the sheriff (now that's who's pompous - and smarmy), she was able to show how inadequate he is. It was up to Veronica to screw him over - it is her show after all. bd - -----Original Message----- From: owner-chakram-refugees@smoe.org [mailto:owner-chakram-refugees@smoe.org]On Behalf Of HJJH Sent: Thursday, February 02, 2006 4:08 AM To: chakram-refugees@smoe.org Subject: [chakram-refugees] A Deafening Silence Except for my query... >Meanwhile, what's the situation with VERONICA MARS? No offense, but as good as BSG is, I'm mainly interested in the details/ characters that relate to D'anna. Of course, the way she's set up, she pretty much interacts with everyone. Not sure that'll continue, but it could get worse -- interacting with everybody in the "other" world too. (Earth? A Cyclon ship? Yeah, okay, you can answer that for now.) You'll have the excuse to make me learn why the VP talks to someone who's (apparently) not there. I don't care! He can talk to his toes, and I won't be in the least interested in the philsophical import of that. So just remember -- Lucy, Lucy, Lucy. D'anna, D'anna, D'anna. Got that, ol' evil one? - -- Ife ========================================================= This has been a message to the chakram-refugees list. KT missed the guy's other video that was in the same style but did emphasis Xena sufficiently.
