The set includes the five Herc tele-movies - as we know Lucy was in Herc and the Amazon Women, and I believe ROC was in one of the others (someone can confirm this?) It also includes, of course, the 'Warrior Princess' trilogy, and LL's previous appearance as Lyla in 'As Darkness Falls'. There are no commentaries for the tele-movies. Commentaries are: Eye of the Beholder - Audio Commentary Kevin Sorbo Ares - A/C & Video Commentary - KS Pride Comes Before a Brawl - A/C & V/C - KS & Michael Hurst The Warrior Princess - A/C - MH Gladiator - A/C & V/C - KS & MH And of course some of the commentaries touch on locations, extras and staff who cropped up in Xena too. Personally, as someone who has most of the Xena Season DVD sets aready, I think it's better value for my money than the 10th Anniversary Edition. That is, of course, just IMO, and YMMV depending on how much you dislike Kevin Sorbo (I'm not a fan but I don't mind the guy). My favourite S1 ep (aside from all those with Lucy in, of course! :) is probably Pride Comes before a Brawl - mainly because of Lisa Chappell who shows a nice line in amused sarcasm at Iolaus's warrior skills. cr ========================================================= This has been a message to the chakram-refugees list. Yeah, ROC was in "Hercules and the Lost Kingdom" and was the main guest star. Lucy was SUPPOSED to be Queen Hipp, but they didn't want a kiwi in such a leading role, so they created Lysia's role for her. :) And I love her in that movie except for the MOST DISGUSTING scene with Quinn. EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWW! >It also includes, of course, the 'Warrior Princess' trilogy, Yes, sadly, it's NOT the uncut eps. You have to buy the uncut Xena trilogy separate. >Personally, as someone who has most of the Xena Season DVD sets aready, I >think it's better value for my money than the 10th Anniversary Edition. UUUUUUGH. Don't get me started on that set. I was SO PISSED! Do NOT buy the set if you have already bought the series on DVD. Everything on there is on the other sets. There is only ONE new thing on the WHOLE set and that is audio (no video) commentary by Lucy and Renee on "Sins of the Past." I did what that commentary, but I'm sure someone has it online somewhere to download. Save yourself $60. :P I enjoy Hercules. I started watching the show on "The Warrior Princess" and I kept watching it (and ran so fast to see Xena, I think I nearly went back in time). I enjoyed Hercules as the campy sidekick to Xena. Herc was a good series when it kept itself light with a few scattered dramas. I didn't start getting annoyed with Herc until season five, because it tried too hard to be Xena. I HATED, REALLY HATED that Hercules defeated Dahak - that pissed me off to no end. Dahak was always about Xena and how only she could stop him, so I was beyond ticked when Hercules defeated him. Also, I don't think Sorbo is a good actor. Again, he was fine in the campy eps, and I did like him in some dramas, but not a whole season of serious - he couldn't carry it. Either way, all the Herc seasons are loaded with Xena characters, especially Ares and Aphrodite. But, also Autolycus, Joxer, Callisto, Ephiny, Xenan and Xena and Gab crossover nearly every season themselves (though in season five Renee crossover not as Gab), so they are worth buying even if you don't like Herc. :) Season three of Herc has a HUGE impact on the Xenaverse with "Surprise" which explains how Callisto came back to life and became immortal. Good thing to see. :) BATTLE ON XENA! Im not looking to guest on other peoples shows per se, but, in this instance, the plot twists and character development proved to be irresistible to me. It wont get in the way of my doing other projects, but well keep you up to date as things go along." BATTLE ON XENA! I was searching for Lucy so I could get the Veronica Mars episode when suddenly Xena started popping up. Oxygen is now on 127 on DISH. So if anyone has DISH be aware that Xena is now available. Hopefully with Xena now on DISH we can get new fans to come to the conventions and harass Universal for a proper Xena movie (one starring LL and ROC). I only was able to connect up with a couple of people to give out the comics. It wasn't until Saturday that I realized I needed some sort of advertisement to notify people who I was. To those who stopped by my seat and either did not receive a comic or found I wasn't there, I sincerely apologize. I will be contacting you in the next week or so, to make arrangements for receiving the comics, as I try to catch up from being away on vacation last week. If I do this again next year, I'l try to work a better notification mechanism. bd ========================================================= This has been a message to the chakram-refugees list.
