I concur. The movie was certainly not one of CBS's nobler efforts. It certainly should have been either funnier or scarier or both. The writing certainly was weak and I think it suffered from a hurried editing ( fleeing a hurricane and changing locations certainly affected post production). My main grip was the college students. I live close to a college campus and no one looks like these students - certainly not the girls. I know we want sexy in films but really does every girl have to look like she is destine to be a playboy bunny. Also since when did undergraduates get so chummy with their professors. It would have been much better for Lucy's posse to be her grad students that way their close bond with her would have been believable. Lucy didn't have much of a part here but she did well. Her natural charm was very evident. However it was obvious that she must have been just a bit distracted during filming since her accent kept slipping and she kept forgetting to comb her hair (at one point she simply gave up and swaddled her head in a babushka). Also the broom, which I feared was going to be used to fight bats, was wielded with great efficiency by Lucy to fell an evil park ranger and no bats were harmed by said broom. I also liked the mean bat. I think CBS could make a movie where mean bat and the termite general from Alien Apocalypse would join forces. The termite general could send legions of locusts to savage the land while the mean bat and his compatriots provide air cover. Lucy and Renee would play the leaders of the last band of humans who fight off the vermin horde with plastic brooms (the wood brooms naturally were eaten by the termites). Ah well the next time we see Lucy it should be on Battlestar Galactica - a happier prospect. CherylA PS: Nothing I have said will prevent Vampire Bats from joining my Lucy collection of tapes and DVDs. ========================================================= This has been a message to the chakram-refugees list.
