One thing I didn't know was that this was in theaters all summer. And I bet many Bruce fans saw it then. Here's a mention of the movie screenings. Theatrical release http://horror.about.com/od/featurefilms/a/dvd_manbrain.htm "Man With The Screaming Brian played to sell-out audiences throughout its national theatrical run over the summer in more than 40 markets including Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Boston, Dallas, Washington DC, Seattle, Houston, Sacramento, Denver, Detroit, Cleveland and Salt Lake City. As a bonus to his legions of die-hard fans, Bruce Campbell made personal appearances for at least one showing in nearly every city sharing stories and answering questions about making the film." There is of course a DVD out: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B000AQ69QS/102-6749271-6576165?v=glance And a comic book, which oddly enough was actually written before the movie aired: http://www.darkhorse.com/news/horsepower.php?id=1137 And merchandise--T-shirts, a little bust, a baseball cap: http://www.entertainmentearth.com/prodinfo.asp?number=DH10833 Hot stuff in the sci fi world, obviously. Bruce is a god in this genre. No question. Bruce is RenPac's biggest star by far in the genre crowd, though Lucy is far more well known world wide among general audiences. And happily is also offered much more versatile roles than Bruce usually gets. Bruce is a star, Bruce plays Bruce no matter where/when/who his character is. Lucy is an actor and plays characters who are very different from each other and from herself. I did see some appreciative reviews of Screaming Brain while just poking around the google links. But I've never seen any good ones for Alien Apocalypse. So you seem to be "mainstream" at least in this moment. KT ========================================================= This has been a message to the chakram-refugees list. (I'm not joking.) He can pretend to be W. Uh--wait--did he have a speaking part? If so, he'll have to learn to speak "Bushish" or he won't be believable. I'm imagining you're going to be watching Vampire Bats with a broom in your head, yes? Whoops! I meant to write "in your hand". Sorry. (Speaking of Bushisms...) Buffy is 27th; if it is SF (I don't think it is), it should be higher. The Avengers is 31st; if it is SF (I think it is), it should be way higher. That's why I liked Xena so much--so much of it was speculative. Thauthors really out did themselves filling in the blanks. Heck it was sometimes like filling in those mad libs you did in middle school! Richan ========================================================= This has been a message to the chakram-refugees list.
