Last time we got the word about her filming an ep LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG after she had come and gone (she must have filmed pre "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes"). So, please, please, please, please, you BSG fans, give an alert when she's back in Vnacouver. Vancouver Xenites - let's give Lucy a lovely reception. ;) BATTLE ON XENA! The second best part was her using her accent for the character. The third? Wow - Lucy's got a GREAT eye! The scenes where Lucy has a camera, they really are using her footage. I thought she did a really great job as a camera woman/director of her shots. SO COOL! She had some unquie angles and shots - loved it! And her performance - ah hell yeah! That's our Lucy! Now, come do another episode so I can hang outside the studio. ;) And air in Canada already so I can tape the thing to keep all nice. ;) BATTLE ON XENA! Speaking of Xena (heh), I chuckled at some WP moments: *D'anna's expression when Adama's son was wearing the towel reminded me of when she came upon Brutus relieving himself in IDES. *D'anna reaching into her blouse to retrieve the copy of the tape Adama took - -- ala everything Xena retrieved from her bosoms. *D'anna's take charge "You go to to the hangar, I'll go to the war room." *The humor, which was often sardonic, ironic, sarcastic. The main difference I saw was people pushing D'anna to the side and trying to dis her, which rarely happened to Xena. Also, D'anna was more like Gabrielle in terms of recording the action, rather than instigating it. Still, D'anna was obviously not someone to mess with. As Lucy says, she seems destined to play strong characters. - -- Ife ========================================================= This has been a message to the chakram-refugees list. Who were those people... Where were > they (some 'occupied' planet?)... How was Lucy's character there... > Why were they rejoicing... > > > TEXena, the unsure of her own suppositions Actually it would have been a very bad acting choice to come off as obnoxious. If D'anna was a real reporter trying to get people to open up to her she must present herself as a sympathetic and likeable person. To be bitchy would be counter productive except when it serves her purpose such when she wanted Col. Tigh to lose his cool. As a spy she also would not want to be obnoxious if she wants to get information to pass on - again she must appear to sympathetic and likable so people will tell her things in confidence. There is a very nice scene with Adama when he demands the tape of Sharon - D'anna has always been a just a tad submissive around him and a little nervous so when she apparently "lets" him take the tape he doesn't suspect she has deceived him. Those are good acting and directing choices. By the way you have now been told about the Cylons. The D'anna that is in the last scene is not necessarily the D'anna who was on the Galactica since there are many copies of the same models and they share memories. So Lucy can show up in a many guises if TPTB decide to use her again. ========================================================= This has been a message to the chakram-refugees list. The GalacticaBiers is most likely a sleeper agent who doesn't even know she's a Cylon, and her Cylon self took over long enough to transmit the secret part of the tape to her other model on Caprica. >> The second character played by Lucy is one of the Cylon clones. >> > > Argghhh! It is unclear in the series whether the clones are based upon real humans or not, but I doubt they are because if they were, why have only 12 models? They could potentially have millions of models if they were using real humans for their models. >> (Balter has been having symbolic visions of a Cylon and human union >> resulting >> in a baby, the plot line following Boomer 2 and Helo.) >> > > Ah, so that answers another of my questions. I am inclined to think she is. Number Six referred to them as models. Sharon is a cylon because we have seen about 30 different versions of her! (1 on Galactica, a hand full on Caprica; and a whole herd of them on a base ship). >> That means Lawless has job > >> security if the writers want to give it to her!
