That got me thinking about the history of the Hind's Blood Dagger, which was one of the strongest plot links between the Herc and Xena series - and the complicated story was remarkably well handled. I've also just realised - today - one of the most delightful ironies linked with one of my favourite incidents, in Armageddon Now where Callisto feuds with Ares and kills Strife. Which is, that in the Herc ep 'Judgement Day', Herc marries the last Golden Hind, Serena - and Ares' nasty sidekick Strife murders her and frames Herc. (And it needs a crossover walk-on visit from Xena and Gabs to expose Strife and save Herc). And much later, after a vial of hinds blood has found its way from the alternate universe (Stranger in a Strange World) via the Vortex, in the possession of The Sovereign, into 'this' world, the first person to use it is Callisto, and the god she uses it on is - Strife. "Well, at least we know the stuff really works, huh?" Now, isn't that poetic justice? cr ========================================================= This has been a message to the chakram-refugees list.
