["Xena Torre] [chakram-refugees] Re: [Flawless] Lucy B-Day =?iso-8859-1?q?Mention=A0?= [cr Subject: [chakram-refugees] OT: Canadian Alias fans - we are SCREWED! DIE, ABC, DIE! And CH, we HATE YOU TOO! Dear Canadian Alias fans, You are now SCREWED with the premiere of "Eyes." Who to blame? Do we hate ABC for this bull crap of starting "Alias" a few minutes late and thus, leading to it RUNNING late (ie, it ends at 9:03 NOT 9pm)? Or do we loathe CH for CUTTING INTO the signal at 9pm? Oh, yes, I'm sure I wasn't the only "Alias" fan in Canada throwing the remote and screaming the "F*CK!" at the top of my lungs when suddenly, mid sentence, Sydney is cut off and "Eyes" began. And to add insult to injury "Alias" was NOT picked up by a CANADIAN channel this year, meaning, yes, that's right, say goodbye Canadian "Alias" fans to the last 2-3 minutes of EVERY episode of "Alias" - at least as long as "Eyes" is playing at the same time on CH and ABC. Goodbye to the tie-up, goodbye to the VITAL CLIFF HANGER that makes up the "Alias" ending that ties into next week (although, granted, season 4 has been without those cliff hangers). (on the West coast for sure, perhaps you lucky Eastern feed people were spared this horror) Quite simple - you are screwed from seeing the end of "Alias" and must now wait for the DVD box set - should be out around Christmas...maybe September if we're lucky ("Lost" season one is coming out then). Or, go hunting now for you US friends, or, even better, those dear friends with shawboxes or satellites that can catch an earlier US feed on different channels so that you're not screwed over. ABC and CH, both of you should be shot. Thanks ever so much for ruining "Alias" for all of Canada, or for at least all those on the West coast. BATTLE ON XENA! The original post _and_ Katherine's reply were posted on a public website, accessible to anyone with a computer. There was absolutely nothing confidential about it. It's generally assumed that anything posted on a website is, like a public announcement, free for all to repeat. The only limitation I can see is 'breach of copyright', but I very much doubt whether that would be considered to apply in this case. Further, previous commentators (including me) were talking about the post and quoting bits of it on these lists. The only rule I personally have in such cases is to try not to quote bits out of context. In that respect, your post, quoting the whole thing, is helpful rather than detrimental. I'd also note that there are several fans who regularly copy any news items or comments concerning Lucy or Renee on sites such as Josh Becker's, to the lists, and nobody has ever complained about that to my knowledge. So please, don't worry about it. cr On Thu, 31 Mar 2005 11:15, Janice Allison wrote: > My apologies to Katherine for passing on a post from her site without > permission, the original person posting this email thinking it was only > going to be on Katherine's site, again without permission, and to everyone > that this post went out to...I am not very good at going back and forth > between places..not computer adept and I find it hard to remember > things....so I just copied Katherine's response to the original post onto > my reply up top...not very well, I see, because it also included the > original post...[ I tried to just copy the part I wanted but for some > reason could only get the whole thing...and that unfortunately also > included the original post from someone else.] and then I was just going up > and down to check the parts where Katherine referred to Lucy personally... > without getting into everything she said...my intention was to just make > sure I had the gist of what Katherine said and then to delete Katherine's > reply before I posted...unfortunately...my mind is not as clear as I would > like it and in error I forgot to delete the post and the response from > Katherine. As a devotee of irony, that theme was sublime - that all Callisto's attempts to save her family just culminated in her being the agent of their deaths. And Iolaus, who had sworn to kill Callisto, being the one who saved (young) Callisto. Beautiful writing! > For me, "When Fates Collide" did not meet this standard.
