I WOULD buy the set for new commentary on the last three. Yes, well, that's a dead duck as far as I'm concerned. Bitter Suite is the only one of those of any interest to me and the S3 set already has interviews and a commentary by LL and ROC.... so what else would they be going to say about it? > I will NOT buy the set JUST for fan renactments. Frankly, that would put me right off it Fan reenactments, like costume competitions and bachelor parties, are probably great fun for those involved in the warm fuzzy glow but really shouldn't be exposed to the cold hard light of the outside world, IMO cr ========================================================= This has been a message to the chakram-refugees list. Well, I thought that last shot of Gabs alone on the boat, really fit with the story. The revised DC version diffused that somewhat, it took away the impact. Exactly the same as the 'touched by an angel' bit at the end of Ides (another director's afterthought that RT should have left alone) - that last image of them hanging on crosses in the gloom just fit perfectly with the episode. I didn't find it depressing, I thought it was a moving and rather awe-inspiring episode ending - and then along comes that darn 'angel' scene to undercut the atmosphere. cr ========================================================= This has been a message to the chakram-refugees list. Lol, I watched The Grudge last night too!! :) Cept I had already seen it in theatres...I rented the dvd cuz I wanted to see it with the audio commentary - which has Ted, Sam, and Rob on it as well as Sarah Michelle Gellar, Jason Behr, Clea DuVall, even the screenwriter!! The commentary is fabulous, definitely checking out the dvd for. - -Sarah- ========================================================= This has been a message to the chakram-refugees list. Well, as I said, I think it's just that Gab and Xena were so close that Xena will always be in Gab's heart. The whole build up with "I knew you were going to say that" and "And to the place where I'll always remain." Xena's with Gab forever in spirit - but I don't think it meant LITERALLY. Hence, the shot of Gab alone on the boat. BATTLE ON XENA! Gabs would feel her and be able to "talk" with her and "see" her as if she were there. Many people experience that IRL, tho I think TPTB wanted to show it as more "concrete." Fans who wanted to could picture some form of ghosthood where Xena wasn't some blurry image. :-) - -- Ife ========================================================= This has been a message to the chakram-refugees list.
