Three years ago Kevin Smith passed away. Don't forget to raise a glass in his honour. Apparently it was completed since Eric and RJ mention viewing it. It apparently made a lot of the unanswered questions or odd 'rules' in Fallen Angel, make more sense. (It also apparently - to make me even more interested - included some great sword-fighting by Amarice. R J added 'nude' but in that respect I think he was just kidding as usual). This makes me wonder - why don't 'they' release it on DVD? (Maybe along with Amazon High....) The studio's worry about censorship surely doesn't apply so strongly to a DVD release..... Who do we have to bribe/beg/intimidate to get 'Alexander' released? Errr, Sharon, are you on this list....? cr ========================================================= This has been a message to the chakram-refugees list. Interestingly enough, in KT's excellent con report (on another list), Rob said something similar.... "Gabrielle was the mouthpiece. One speaking on behalf of the other. Once we did Callsto-the show kind of knew what it was. People from her past popping up and bringing up moral issues. We wanted to get away from the warrior of the week to differentiate it from Hercules." cr ========================================================= This has been a message to the chakram-refugees list. If he had no power of his own, NO WAY would Ares > have backed down. Of course, that was Doug Lefler adding a bit in. Incidentally, in the DVD interviews, some of the editing of the video clips is a bit 'off'. For example, when Doug L says this, the video clip shows Ares touching Eli then backing off, saying "I'll catch you - round the Acropolis' and disappearing. But in the episode, after he backed off, he then spoke to Xena and it was to her that he said the Acropolis thing, not Eli. I've also noticed other occasions, for example in the Sin Trade interviews where Donny Duncan the DP was talking about (IIRC) the camera creeping in on peoples' faces (with obvious reference to the Cyane-Alti mental fight), and the clip that went with it was of Xena and the young Amazons. And similar in various other interviews. OK, so I'm nit-picking. > >Oh, I agree. I did mention Zeus bringing Lyla back in 'Outcast', didn't > >I? > > You did. Xena's insane healing powers was bull. Most notably in 'Destiny', where Xena, after a few hours in Nicklio's hut with broken legs (and Nicklio's doubtless excellent but not superntaural healing skills) had recovered the use of her legs well enough to kill several Roman soldiers. > Why > show scenes like the Gauntlet (uncut - HOLY CRAP!) or her beating in "Who's > Gurkhan?" when two scenes later she has not even a scratch. MY GODS! Oye! Here one must salute Alias - cause if a character gets a cut on their face in one ep, the injury will be seen for the next three eps or so in various stages of healing. It's about consistancy. As I said, I was so thrilled during the teaser of "Gabrielle's Hope" because it took place days after "The Deliverer" (most Xena eps do NOT follow obviously close, in which case it can be forgiven that injuries do not carry through to next week's episode), but then in Act One the injury was gone. So, what the hell was the point? That was even worse than not putting it in the ep at all! OYE! When healed by people, okay, that's fine, but if you beat a character nearly to death, they sure as hell shouldn't be completely recovered by the end. Course, "Who's Gurkhan?" gave me the impression that it was an ep that spanned several months, not days, in which case, I can forgive, but still.... BATTLE ON XENA!
