I did not recognize him at all!! Keep in mind I had just returned from a trip overseas and jet lag set in so I did not see much of last night's show.... but I do remember the flashback to him now that I read this. Was his name Nick or something. Have to catch that one on reruns.. CJ ========================================================= This has been a message to the chakram-refugees list. To have a technically more complex fight is one thing, but I have yet to see a believable character come out of film or TV in the role of female action hero like Xena. First, XWP was set in a land and time that was fantasy, yet those that came to watch the show became attached to it each week. WHY? Because Lucy and Renee brought 2 characters to life in every sense of the word. Their characters were as deep and complex as the real human beings they are and that is what made us not only watch but care about their journey. When I watch Alias, I watch for the story line, but it could be anyone playing JG's role. She does not have the depth (as someone else wrote) to make me care about the character. It is a very one dimensional plane, whereas Lucy delivered so many sides of Xena's character and that is what evoked the emotional connection in all of us. I honestly don't think a female star has come close to that since Xena. Cagney and Lacey were flawed characters and perhaps they are the closest, but not to the uniqueness of XWP Loyal to XWP always. Just my humble opinions that I am sure many of you will take issue with.. Cheryl ========================================================= This has been a message to the chakram-refugees list.
