Abrams, the creator of "Alias" aired last night. Here's my first thoughts on this new series S P O I L E R S P A C E F O R P I L O T E P - -JJ has a good grasp of characters. He has a real skill for creating mood, personality and background in a flash. During the opening scene of the plane crash, JJ had already set up most the emotions and relationships of the characters. That's some talent! - -Now, THIS is what directing is all about! Wowy, wow! JJ has a GREAT EYE! So many new and interesting angles and shots! GO MAN! My fav shot? When Kate was looking at the pilot's wings and then saw the refletion of his body hanging in the tree in the puddle. Very nice! - -Hee, hee. Inside joke. Anyone else know that the pilot wasn't gonna make it? Greg Grunberg is a friend of JJ's and appears in everything he makes. He is however currently starring on Alias as Eric Weiss so he was hardly going to be a regular on "Lost." - -Hmmmmmm....anyone else think they've landed in Jurassic Park? Those are the thoughts. Verdict? Check out another week and judge it then. It's not a sure thing yet, nor is trash. However, if I see dinosaurs, I doubt I'll be watching long after that. But it's JJ, so we'll see.
