He seems to support the idea that Xena thought Brutus could be a wedge between Caesar and Caesar's quest for power. Sears said Brutus tends to be regarded as a "betrayer," when he in fact had honorable motives for ridding Rome of a tyrant. Sears said Xena's goal was to help Brutus see the truth and do what he thought was right. - -- Ife ========================================================= This has been a message to the chakram-refugees list. She bought enough time for Amarice to survive and fight many more days. I won't argue about whose "way" was more effective or whether -- with help from Gabs & Co. -- they could've fought their way out. I also acknowledge that Amarice was there protecting Gabs -- who was in jeopardy more because of her relationship to Xena, than because she was a follower of Eli. You gave many examples where Gabs imperiled Xena. There are just as many (if not more) times when people (e.g., Callisto, Caesar, Dahak) targeted Gabs because of Xena, or when Gabs followed Xena into battle. Yes, Gabs chose to do that. It was a consequence of traveling with Xena. The same is true in Xena's case. - -- Ife ========================================================= This has been a message to the chakram-refugees list.
