Lucy was just doing promotion for EuroTrip. She was only on for about 5 minutes and practically the whole time she was talking about the movie and they were showing clips from it. I don't think the interviewer actually asked her any questions; she just talked about the movie. But anyway, it's nice to see Lucy on the screen from time to time. She's just so animated when she's talking about something she cares about that it's fun to watch her even if the subject's not that interesting to me. XWPacolyte Cupid and Psyche... The closest it come to having a message is that there are unexpected results when she tries to "fix things". After watching most of the first season, I came to the conclusion that the franchise was trying to capitalize on ED's fame as the 'skank slayer" in Buffy/Angel. The tip off was ED running. Now I won't question the attractiveness of this action, but it was used WAY too much. "This part is really dragging. Let's have ED run, it'll add about 1000 T&A points" Your introduction of Piers' concept of "role filling" is an interesting perspective to Xena and there is some indication of this concept in Xena but not well developed. But a post concerning Piers WITHOUT A PUN? He does posit interesting concepts in all of his works that I've read, but I sometimes get a feeling that the work is forced to yield the 'grand pun'. The replacement theory is somewhat like the old saw about the shark Yankee selling the ax used by George Washington, "Yep George himself used this ax", "But it's in such good shape" "Well it's has the head replaced 5 times and the handle 8 times". The publicity department usually sets these things up and she probably just did one interview after another to promote the film. I have always noticed that Lucy is nothing if not a trooper in this case she trooped to every interview the studio sent her out on. XENA LIVES!!!!! but of course i don't have to tell *you* that, do i? md--zoning out ========================================================= This has been a message to the chakram-refugees list.
