It's interesting that Baby Hope could kill so quickly, while Dinsy seems like he might've needed training to be purposefully destructive. I don't want to read too much into what they did (or didn't do) with Dinsy, but they did seem to want to make him less of a "natural" villain than Hope. - -- Ife ========================================================= This has been a message to the chakram-refugees list. It has a lot of the features you'd find in many fan sites. Occasionally there are promos from Lucy. I have a suspicion it has some marketing relationship with Davis Anderson. Below is what they had to say about the DVDs. -- Ife << Xena: Warrior Princess Season Five and Six DVD Collections are now available at xenacatalog.com! The DVD sets are exactly the same as the DVD sets that will be sold in retail stores later this year (all supplementals are the same), with the exception of Best Buy. Best Buy will always have a 30 minute supplement made of leftover interview footage. << If you already ordered Season Five or Six through xenacatalog.com and are waiting for the DVD Set to arrive, please read this message from the folks at Davis Anderson: Great news...We have talked extensively with our Director of DVD and he made it clear that they found and included additional special features in both sets. In order to make these bonuses part of the jam-packed collections for the fans, we needed to take a little more time. Both sets will be shipping in July as a result. So, don't you guys worry! You'll get your DVD sets soon, and they are going to be incredible! And remember, you will still get your DVD sets before anyone else! Season Five will not be available in retails stores until nearly November and Season Six won't be in stores until after the new year. >> ========================================================= This has been a message to the chakram-refugees list. Gabs is left to ponder the meaning of both their lives, as she continues to find her Way. Plus, Xena had Gabs there with her to share that with. Spirit Xena can "be" there in some (and different) ways that Gabs'll have to adjust to. - -- Ife ========================================================= This has been a message to the chakram-refugees list. I doubt if she had an easy life. I don't think she is cowed by Herodotus - I think she has just learned to live with a difficult husband. In fact her life certainly isn't easy Herodotus is a jerk and Lila is not the brightest bulb in the pack. I'm sure Gabby for all her faults was the one the one bright spot in her family and she escaped as soon as humanly possible. The one scene I always thought was intriguing was where the real Gabby is watching her mother who comes outside to throw some water out (probably just after cleaning Hope's "wounds") and the mother is crying. I often wondered what she was crying about. I think she knew there was something wrong about the Gabrielle that came home and she is secretly worried about that. Perhaps mom is more perceptive than she is given credit for. As for Herodotus I always love that awkward scene between him and Xena. He is so jealous and resentful that Gabrielle chose her over him. When he accuses Xena of seducing Gabrielle I love the way Xena is so restrained. You know she is just itching to tell him that it was Gabrielle seduced her into taking her away and not the other way round. That Gabrielle was so desperate to escape him that she beg Xena not to take her home. Xena showed remarkable restraint and great deal of kindness for him.
