It's another feature that doesn't require your feet. I don't know that it's more dangerous than when your gas pedal gets stuck or the breaks go out. Having fully functioning legs won't help you then. - -- Ife ========================================================= This has been a message to the chakram-refugees list. He was Termin in Dreamworker, Tegason in Ten Little Warlords, Rahl in Daughter of Pomira (as noted), Barkeep in Lyre Lyre, and in Herc, Pylon in Cast a Giant Shadow, Jordis in Heedless Hearts (in which, as in DoP, he received guest star credit i.e. his name in gold letters), Nehemiah in Regrets I've Had a Few, and most memorably (for me) Triton in Love on the Rocks and My Best Girl's Wedding. Note that LOTR (Love on the Rocks) has an identical abbreviation with LOTR (Lord of the Rings), which will doubtless be a source of endless confusion for Herc/fantasy fans in the future. Specially in Bruce's case. Oh, I see that Sharon already mentioned all his roles in Xena eps. Umm, easiest found might be Triton in the Herc eps LOTR and MGBW, though as he was wearing IIRC a whiskery beard he may not have looked much like himself. Alternatively, Tegason in Ten little Warlords: If it helps to identify him, early in Ten Little Warlords, Xena/Callisto and Gabs(IIRC) are looking down on the invitees to 'Ares' party: X-C: There's another one. His name's Tegason. G: And the human wall walking toward him? Who's that? X-C: Some piece of work, huh? The 'human wall' was, IIRC, Virgilius aka Chris Ryan. Later, boarding Rob's Folly: Man: One small rule-- Ares insists-- all weapons be left behind. Tegason: What if we're attacked? A few moments later, Joxer shows up: J: Don't touch my armor, please. This is hand-pounded. Tegason: What do you want? J: I heard you were looking for the world's greatest warrior. Well-- here I am. Tegason: You're the greatest, huh? Well, well soon find out. Tegason was one of the Ten little warlords who lasted almost to the end: TEGASON Enough talk. CARUS We decided three against two were better odds. Virgilius holds Carus. TEGASON And two against one, even better. Tegason stabs him. They put him on a chair. TEGASON Next? XENA I wouldn?t turn my back on your new partner, Virgilius. You can't both be the God of War. Tegason attacks Virgilius. Xena attacks Tegason. Virgilius attacks Ares. They four fight. Now I have nothing to really add to that except at that point Xena was losing her prime time spots but she still managed ususally to stay in the top twenty. If you look at syndicated ratings now there are no syndicated action series in the top twenty. Even Andromedia has dropped and they were doing very well when Xena was leading into the show. Apparently Tribune really miscalculated when they abandoned Xena for their own shows. Apparently Tribune really > miscalculated > when they abandoned Xena for their own shows. > This is exactly why I don't think the ratings necessarily say much about people's reaction to specific content. I live in Chicago, home base for Tribune-WGN. I can't tell you the times the slot got changed or pre-empted for something else. When the Trib started producing its own shows through WB, I felt their attention for XWP really dropped. In the S3 DVD interviews, Tapert talks a little about how the syndication process really changed, noting that there may never again be the same opportunities for independents as XWP enjoyed. There are just so many factors involved, especially for syndicated shows, that I think Xenastaff were wise in following their best instincts -- focusing more on quality that would hold up over the long-term, rather than on shorter-term ratings. ========================================================= This has been a message to the chakram-refugees list.
