I remember a couple of "good" and "bad" teachers who were representative, though I'm sure they weren't the only ones who contributed to my positive or negative school experiences. I saw something similar with Caesar -- that he's the one who stood out in Xena's life as sort of representative of Cortes and other baddies. My point is that he had *an* influence at a pivotal time in Xena's life, but I don't agree that this makes him the one person who "created" Xena. I was explaining why I think KT makes too much of him. > This raises the question, did Dahak need Gabby specifically? Couldn't he > find an equally naive and innocent person more readily to hand? She was Xena's companion, after all, so I thought that fitting. Dahak said he appreciated Xena's rage, which he used to get to Gabs' innocence. He had what he needed between the two of them, in order to fulfill his plan. So, no, I don't think it was an accident, but it did depend on the X& G willingly behaving as Dahak hoped they would. > > >Other than his impact in the past, I didn't see Xena as obsessed with him > >or going out of her way to avenge his betrayal. You and KT got me ruminating about Caesar's role, which I thought KT in particular makes too much of on one hand, and too little of on the other. > >You, KT and I share > >similar views on so much. Let's leave it at KT hates Fates, while I don't, and I've come to appreciate a positive view of Fates that I originally didn't have. - -- Ife > > cr > ========================================================= > This has been a message to the chakram-refugees list. > To unsubscribe, send a message to majordomo@smoe.org with > "unsubscribe chakram-refugees" in the message body. > Contact meth@smoe.org with any questions or problems. > ========================================================= ========================================================= This has been a message to the chakram-refugees list.
