As you know this is a documentary about two stunt doubles. One of them is Zoe Bell: Lucy's stunt double. See at http://www.filmarts.org/festival03/films.htm - -----------------------1 This is from the site DOUBLE DARE by Amanda Micheli 75 min, Beta SP, color, 2003 part of the MOTHER JONES agitators & instigators series co-presented by the San Francisco Ballet, Bay Area Stunt Exchange $10/Film Only $30/Film and Gala The Film Arts Festival proudly presents the super-sneak preview of Amanda Micheli's DOUBLE DARE, a double-barreled, action-packed documentary about the lives of two Hollywood stuntwomen, Jeannie Epper and Zoe Bell. Epper, who refuses to retire at the age of sixty-two, doubled for Wonder Woman in the '70s, and Bell landed the coveted job of doubling for Xena at the age of 18. DOUBLE DARE includes rollicking, live-action stunt sequences, star-studded interviews with Lynda Carter, Lucy Lawless, Steven Spielberg, and Quentin Tarantino (and location footage from his new film, KILL BILL), along with a candid look at two strong, dedicated women who pursue tough careers in male-dominated Tinseltown. Live stunts, surprise guests, and the Gala Closing Night party make this a not-to-be-missed Festival event. He did give me the snail mail for US programming: Discovery Communications, Inc. 1 Discovery Place Silver Springs, MD. 20910-3354 Maybe if we all write to this address we can lobby for the documentary series to air in the USA. Lots of expensive swords for all four heroes. Notable items for Xena (the only one I care about): *Season 3 DVDs with photo gallery and "interactive animated menu screens." Not sure if the CD-ROM "extras" (director/actor bios, Chronicles and Series Trivia) are the same as previous or not. ($89.95) *Herc action pack DVD collection that includes The Lost Kingdom (ROC), The Amazon Women (Lucy), the Xena trilogy, and the animated Herc/Xena Battle for Mt. Olympus ($49.95) *Bobble Heads for Xena, Gabs, Cally, and Ares ($24.95 each) *The Quotable Xena and Xena Beauty & Brawn trading card sets ($19.95-$79.95) *Xena leather motorcycle jacket ($199.95) I think I've seen much of the other stuff (except maybe for the $349 katana with secret poison chamber, removable mini chakram, two-piece blow dart gun, slingshot/catapult -- I kid you not) in previous catalogs. If you were hoping to get nice sales on the 6 season videos, you'll be disappointed -- unless you want the free set you get if you buy two at $139.95 each. You can browse yourself at www.legendaryheroes.com. - -- Ife ========================================================= This has been a message to the chakram-refugees list. I think I'm going to wait for Best Buy again, as so far they've had > the commentaries. The extras I know about are commentaries (they were trying to get the regular triumvirate plus Ted Raimi, Hudson Leick, and Bruce Campbell). But I do not know if they got everyone they wanted. They also did stand alone interviews about the episodes in question. I only provided them with questions, whether they used them or not I do not know, I believe they used at least some of the questions. I provided questions in general about the third season and also questions about each episode. My hope is that they would put up something about each episode. But of course it is up to them what they use or not use. Then, there is a feature on the episodes Sacrifice I & II which I am also working on with them (we just did the interviews this past week). I also scored deleted scenes from the director's cut of Sacrifice II. This weekend and coming week I will be pulling scenes from Sacrifice and the deleted Callisto campfire scene for the Sacrifice feature. I am hoping it will fun. Since it is the first time I have ever done anything like this, I have no idea how it will turn out. ========================================================= This has been a message to the chakram-refugees list.
